You need to stand still to see a BT, moving while using your scanner won't work. If you are close enough and don't move you can see them just floating in the mid-air.
Imagine doing this and not causing immediate voidout (not the game-ending one by some stray NPC, but a small repatriate voidout by yourself) to clean the pests' camp for good!
I think they will drag you far from the settlement area before fighting you, so that if you cause a void out it will not affect any default in-game settlement area.
Yeah me too. Then I left the body. And it caused a void out. Then the game makes you repatriate and load the latest save. So basically nothing happened.

it gets worse when you kill them and leave the corpse long enough to complete 3 request order , the corpse doesn't become BT but creates a voinout or big explosion that you can't revive or your save history is lost then you are forced to play your last save load I experienced this when I killed one of the mules and left it to complete 3 requests for sam while trying to connect Mountain Knot City to the Chirall Network by bringing Mama. and once i got to mama in mountain knot city. there was a big explosion like nuclear.. cause what I was playing was lost forever . and I can only load my last save before the explosion

Avoiding voidouts is the first priority, always, even if you have to backtrack a bit. I honestly think it’s hilarious that you got screwed since the game explicitly makes the entire first two major missions about what happens if there is a voidout, and you still thought you could go back to that several days later.

You can only cause Voidouts by dying yourself. What you could try is killing a MULE, wait for him to becoma a BT inside the MULE-Territory, then let him catch you and get eaten by the big Monster.. that way there should be a voidout. I just don't know if the game would conveniently place the crater next to the camp, because many of the MULE Camps are important for Orders and retrieving Cargo for Deliveries.
I did decide to use lethal weapons on a MULE camp, but Lou didn't like it. She started scream crying like she does with the big animal BT's then by the time I shot the last guy she was in autotoxemia. It only took about 2 or 3 guys for that to happen, but the camo had like 8 guys. Die-Hardman just calmly said there was a body and I should bring it to the incinerator. I may try shooting one and let it get me, thanks for the suggestion. 👍
Yeah, I'm sure you're right. You have to go through many MULE territories to get to places and also get things from their post box so the game probably wouldn't be able to continue. It might be fun to try just once though. 😁

It’s because he is far enough in the game that he encountered Higgs in such a way that after that mission these BTs are golden probably because of the offset of chiralium levels caused by Higgs.

So that if you kill the whole mule camp and leave then mules don't reset?? Instead of it will turn into a BT territory?? So if those BTs come in contact with someone?? Then what voidout?? Then what a big crater in the spot of mule camp?? Then what?? After some time after the crater disappears does the mules and their camp come back??
I'm not sure. I waited for about thirty hours. It is close to the time when 48 hours in the game will become BT. Maybe Time Fall will accelerate the change, or there may be other factors.
@@Graciashauf I'm not sure, but I can only speculate. The corpse was made on day 1, and a warning from Heartman was received in the afternoon on day 2. Then wait until 1 a.m. on the 3rd day after the change to BT. Not playing for 24 consecutive hours.

You can wait for them to become BT and then destroy it. Move body bags to the BT area, or other methods can solve body bags. But I chose to let Voidout take away the body bags and not let mule be born again. Can concentrate on delivery before the game clear.
So doing this will stop the mules from going to camp? I'm trying to find a cheeky way to get rid of all the mules without expending too many resources. you probably could knock em all out and leave one dead and just wait for the dead one to pop and then leave the camp is what I'm guessing.
@@misha2871 its because the game wont allow populated areas I guess you call them to have voidouts cause then that could ruin some game functions like delivery or taking stuff from mule camps that someone asked to be delivered so instead it just spawns a bt with golden ones that game over you if they pull you down

i killed a bunch then after few levels had 3 voidouts couldnt figue out whats wrong then it didnt bother

Im pretty sure once you cause a voidout you have load to your last save. I dont think you can use them as a gameplay mechanic.

All I know is that being caught by those "yellow guys" will directly GAMEOVER.
after doing a little research the yellow guys seem to appear after you´ve already caused a void out and run into a BT again.
The mule camp can’t have a voidout occur, so instead of normal BTs, you get chiralium BTs, which GAMEOVER you.
you will always get dragged out to an open area to fight the big BT. So even if you get killed and a voidout happens you won´t be near people.
