Hi! I'm Taylor Calmus, a Colorado-based actor/comedian. I started Dude Dad© two weeks before my son Theo was born as a way to stay creative while learning to be a father. My wife Heidi and I now have 3 kids and over 300+ videos. My purpose for the channel is to entertain, enlighten and inspire.

supporting fathers.. . theres some fathers who are doing a lot more then just support. Fathers are not on the sidelines supporting. Theyre the other half, literally. Fathers are not given the credit they do, the active fathers

Hahaha, this so me right now. Three pregnancies with an angel baby and two living children, my husband and I agreed we're done. But now one of my friends is pregnant again, and my two of my adult step children are trying to have kids with their SOs, and my ovaries are screaming baby. I'm having to mentally yell back at them, NO, just enjoy buying baby stuff for your friend!
I was walking through target and saw maternity stuff and said how I miss being pregnant and having a baby, and my husband pointed at our 9 month old and said " YOU HAVE A BABY!"

Not for me! One and done! I might have second thoughts every now and again but they fade fast! Kids are a lot and they require a lot. It’s physically, mentally and emotionally exhausting.

Owlet feet monitor thingy - it's not necessary but it's a peace saver ❤ and once ours went off, but till today not sure if it was bad placement or if our son's oxygen level really fell a lot 😶

I applaud Heidi keeping up with three kids! My kids are five and two, and I still feel like I'm in the fourth trimester stage sometimes, lol! Keeping up with two or more kids is not easy. One of my friends has five kids and is pregnant with her sixth.

Im 7 months postpartum and I have loved every single pregnancy and post pregnancy video you guys have posted.
I could only pump my kids wouldn't latch on. I understand the constant pumping. Once I spilled a bottle and I literally cried like full on irrational crying. Our bodies are amazing they change so much it's crazy!

@@101AstyMasty Hey thanks for asking! Yes I’m perfectly normal now. I have had two children and it usually takes me a couple months to feel normal again. You know, every woman is different. I have friends who felt back to normal right away, and others like me who had a little harder time adjusting to the hormonal changes and demands of new motherhood. You will be fine girl! If possible, make sure you have as much support as possible. It is very important you get at least some sleep the first few days because if you don’t, your mental health could decline rapidly. Also, if you are planning on breastfeeding, talk to a lactation consultant! They are amazing. You will eventually get into a routine. Congratulations! I’m so happy for you

It's really hard for the first at least 6 months for me. Having any kind preexisting mental disorder makes it really difficult. But you got this!!
I up the sleep. Tired and exhausted I get emotional, everything sucks, I have low physical energy that even basic manipulation with the baby (that you would usually enjoy) or sitting upright/straight while nursing etc.
Add some sleep (oh and food and showers) to the equasion and life with a newborn is hard but you often get to see the sunrise while nursing, the baby is a bundle of cuteness, you get to cuddle and touch him as much as you want cause he's yours!
Support allows you to get breathing room and breathing room makes you less anxious :)
