Its pretty dang good if you are doing this all/mostly by yourself though. Keeping up with the mechanics and lore is hard enough alone. I wish me and my players had a DM just like you.
ATEN! You have a right hand! Nice. You were so animated in your delivery of this "Evolution Video" I finally got to see something I had suspected... you have a right hand! Now I have notice your hand in a thumbnail or two - and once there was a thumbnail that showed your Sinister (Left) hand - but this time you just flagrantly flailed that right hand about while pouring out vampyr lore. Very exciting Aten Haz-ah! Aten "The Sage of Many Things!" ❤🧛♀❤
You'll see me comment a lot today. I just discovered you, sort of, and am catching up. I'm chucking as I watch this one as I am working on my new Vampire The Masquerade character. My last one is basically the Tom Cruise version of Stacee Jaxx from Rock of Ages, baboon and all. My new one is based on John Mason from The Rock and Connery James Bond. I printed out a ton of old TSR Top Secret pages for his out-of-date gadgets.
Kobold Vampire? 🤣🤣. I'll have to keep them in mind! As you know I'm old school. Still running a Second edition Ravenloft game from the early 90's. It's seriously one of my all time favorite campaign settings. I'm still very conservative when using Vampire's. I don't want them to become like the Borg in Star Trek. Over used to the point of boredom. They must ALWAYS be terrifying to my player's ( Vampires, not Borg 🤣) As you said, I want them pooping their breaches! The video looks fantastic Aten! Great job 👍 How do I find your other channel about Paranormal investigations? I don't mean to keep bugging, but I've asked a few times and haven't received the information. Anyway brother, stay frosty 😎! See you next episode 🖖😁🤘🇨🇦
Well it looks like u need to watch everything again cause I forgot to "like" everything. I see video = i need to like. I want to support channels i love ❤️
I love horrifying my players with a Penanggalan. hehehe I need to do it in 5e, especially since I have seen Mystics in Bali now. 😀 TY for such a great video! I need to get Von Richten's on PDF at least. I am so behind on books now... its kinda WONDERFUL. lol
Thank you very much for your video! The only problem I have with introducing character level loss is it's not a mechanic that is known to D&D 5E players, and thus could be frustrating to implement on a mechanical level. Like - what does it do exactly? Do characters only lose their HP and hit dice? Do they have to remember which ASI (Ability Score Increases) they took on which level, and go back on those too? What about their class features and feats? Are they supposed to recalculate the new (old) modifiers to their rolls with these updated ability scores and changed modifiers from losing fighting styles and such? It will slow down the game to a crawl I think. I think exhaustion mechanic (maybe with a bit of additional homebrew effects) would work better and be faster to calculate.
Really it could be done however works best at your table. I would make a copy of the character before level drain (in case they get a greater restoration) but It would be a de-leveling - the same process as leveling up but in reverse, so roll HP loss just as you would roll HP gain for each level. It's complicated though.
I have an apocalyptic cult that spreads the message that the world is ending and to survive the journey to the new world is to join them. Mechanics wise, I have substituted level drain with exhaustion. I am considering the idea of the proposed 10 levels, with each level being a minus 1 for all dice rolls. Each bite attack doing 2 levels each time. A work in progress. Also, I have a blood wine, True Blood influence, that if heavily consumed by a mortal will cause transformation. Truly, undeath by alcoholism.
I love the video but *pushes up nerd glasses* I would like to point that the Mary Shelley ghost story is mostly apocryphal. No one else that was supposed to be there every talked about it and Mary didn't mention the it till long after everyone else was dead.
My greenscreen lighting is HORRIBLE on this but it wll improve with future videos. (I'm still learning.) Sorry.

You are doing a fine job. I didn't even notice any issues. We are our own worst critics.
For vampires from the Far East I suggest 3rd ed. Oriental Adventures, if you can find it. There are several in the monsters section.
Good call! I have the 2e original book but wasn't aware of the 3rd edition version. Thanks for the info!

haha thank you! (there's a story about the left hand I'll share in a future video) Thank you for watching!

Thats great! Thank you and welcome!
We lost three party members to Drelzna. We barely made it out with the Artifact.
Dang, when I upload my Iggwilv video we'll have to let her know. She'd be proud of her daughter.
Excellent video. You've given us some great suggestions 👍
Thank You! I'm grateful it was useful to you!

Thank you my friend! glad to see you!
In my campaigns, most of the myths such as leaving no reflection is misinformation spread by vampires to prove that they aren't vampires.
Great info! :-) Personally, I loved your first video on vampires too, but who am I? ;-)
You're the best!

BTW I love the real world lore. Much of what you shared is little known. Very helpful. Thank you.
Thanks!
Oh thats a truly great idea! Much easier to use too!
Psychic vampire? I think I dated one back in college. She was pretty heavily into the Goth scene and LARP.
Holy cow we dated the same woman! :p
@@welovettrpgs I suspect they are legion. Perhaps arranged in covens.
Fangs for the fresh vid 🧛♀️
No, Fang You for watching! :)

great video. but if you did have a vampire on a radom table it doesn't have to be combat. it could be the vampire sizing them up.
yup, for sure! good idea. And thanks!
I knew the bad taste would come into this. :)
Of course! Thank you!
