Phenomenal movie. Watched it the other night. Only real negative I had with it was that certain characters at points are just gone and you never see them again. An example: Will Smith’s kicked out of his wheelchair and that’s it,
I think the film was mainly about King and his core group of street kid friends. Will Smith's character appeared to be a semi-friend, who knew them but didn't hang out together much. Same thing with the David Arquette character, who helped pimp Little J. They are just minor parts.
RIP Justin Wildes- 2:36 thru 2:40. Heroin overdose in Alachua County, Florida, May 2013. All of the scenes under the bridge were their actual squat house in LA. They put the runaways that lived there in the movie at the beginning, live footage. Agree with Simon, please go home and get help, addiction is not worth it and hurts everyone involved. Godspeed. ♥

You said it was may 2013 he died right? The film was made in 1992 so he was in his 30s.

I from the UK its sad shame. My cousin was 23 when he died on heroin. L.A. has always been intriguing to me, why so many runaways its so sad?
