Yes, I have problems with severe depression and anxiety that never seem to go away, at least not for very long. People don’t realize how therapeutic it is to listen to and play and sing music. That is treated like nothing much. Some people get degrees in music therapy and recreational therapy and they do a lot to help people in hospitals and nursing homes and other areas, but it’s hard for them to find work and they don’t get paid very much. I used to think I’d like to become a music therapist because when I was 17 I was helped by one who was a really nice person and she knew I enjoyed choir and singing. This woman was amazing playing the piano, she could play some very difficult music. I can play the piano but I play easier stuff, my Mom took piano lessons for a long time and she can play more advanced music too. She attempted to try to learn My Heart goes On from the Titanic movie, but she eventually gave up on it, I think there’s a lot of sharps and flats in that one. Maybe I will try to learn it. I wonder what this song would sound like on a regular piano.

No other voice has this impact on me. I don't know what I would do without it, genuinely so thankful for Darren's music. Darren’s voice is like a giant, comforting hug for the heart. So much emotion and vulnerability in his singing and lyrics. He’s one hell of a musician. This is a song I find myself coming back to when negative emotions or flashbacks come. I could listen to it all day sometimes. The music behind it strangely reminds me of the old house one of my brothers used to live in with his family. It was a cold, dark place where many suspicious and eerie things happened. Lots of things I don’t have an explanation for. I was only like 6 years old when I was living there for about six weeks with my parents, but I close my eyes and can still picture almost every room. It haunts me. This song perfectly captures the atmosphere in that place.

Everytime I find myself at a low point in my life I gravitate towards this song. The line "It's better to hold on to love...change will come" really means so much to me. It has helped me out of the darkness many times. Now I am at a low point again and listen to Darren non stop.

darren still my favorite singer for all the time. he was quite unlucky, when his songs 'hit' the market, industry was already start to sell sex and drugs compare to instead of real music... its just damn sad...
He got so much bullying and hate when he came out that he was gay that I was horrified by it. He seems like a really nice person, I wish I really did know him as a friend. He has talked about how he was bullied growing up, and I can relate to that. I was never gay, but when I was 10 my family moved to a new neighborhood where I became the new girl in school who was easy to pick on. I was eager to make some friends and there was some kind of evil girl clique of a few girls in my area who would follow me home after school and stalk me and call me names and I was thinking man, these kids around here are mean and stupid. I had lived in what is believed to be a more low income area before that, but some of the friends I had there were pretty nice and I enjoyed hanging out with them. All that crap I went through was rough, but it made me into a tougher person. I am very sensitive to things but I also see bullshit for what it is and I have no problem standing up for myself and trying to help someone else who is being hurt by someone. There’s so many crazy people out there who project their insecurity and hate on to other people who don’t deserve it.

Darren Hayes unfortunately no, I was working away when you were in Brisvegas for let's try being. In love release tour this year. My friends went and I cried when I saw their videos. Bloodstained heart still makes me tear up. Was my favourite until this new album. It's wonderful and you should be so proud of this accomplishment. :)

Song's lyrics are really intense. Usually a song may leave you marinating on one emotion or lost memory, but this one really leaves you pondering what might be several...even if those are glum reminders of the past, and somewhat anxious wonders of the future. It's a really deep song, and really enjoy the mood.

Wow! It's a little past the time on his alarm clock & here I lay on my floor, suitcase at my feet, wondering what to do, watching this, headphones on...Obviously I'm still lost. I know destiny will make sense one day (not that my husband's suicide nor my boss firing me, will ever make sense to me) but until I learn from it all & understand, I'll have Darren's music to keep me safe from outside harm. wollypollywakadoodle I'm l totally lost. As of Nov 1, I am officially homeless now, I've hit rock bottom. I don't know what to do anymore. So many things I tried or wanted to do, never worked out for me. I'm barely surviving on disability, and I think I could get off of it and work but it would have to be on offbeat kind of job, I'm an empath, I'd like a job where I had nice coworkers, not a very stressful environment, no more than 40 hours a week, doing something creative that was positive. I feel like I'm asking for too much, part of my disability is that trying to work fast and to 10 things at once, it mentally affects me. I don't feel like I fit in anywhere. I have been verbally and emotionally abused by a lot of people, both men and women, and I can't be around men at all right now. I isolate myself because I can't deal with a lot of people, I don't know who to trust anymore, who to believe or whos lying to me to manipulate me, I'm totally freaking out!!! Can't believe my life has,come to this. It just goes from bad to worse, when the hell does anything ever get better. I'm totally covered in darkness now, totally hopeless, wish I just lived in a different world.
hopefully red we have all been to that dark place where you feel there is no hope. It does get better. Stay strong and surround yourself with good people and don't listen to those who belittle you as they are not worth wasting your emotions on. Trust your instincts and you will know who to reach out to. Don't suffer alone. Do things that make you happy. Take care.

This is a song I find myself coming back to when negative emotions or flashbacks come. I could listen to it all day sometimes. The music behind it strangely reminds me of the old house one of my brothers used to live in with his family. It was a cold, dark place where many suspicious and eerie things happened. Lots of things I don’t have an explanation for. I was only like 6 years old when I was living there for about six weeks with my parents, but I close my eyes and can still picture almost every room. It haunts me. This song perfectly captures the atmosphere in that place.

darren still my favorite singer for all the time. he was quite unlucky, when his songs 'hit' the market, industry was already start to sell sex and drugs compare to instead of real music... its just damn sad...
He got so much bullying and hate when he came out that he was gay that I was horrified by it. He seems like a really nice person, I wish I really did know him as a friend. He has talked about how he was bullied growing up, and I can relate to that. I was never gay, but when I was 10 my family moved to a new neighborhood where I became the new girl in school who was easy to pick on. I was eager to make some friends and there was some kind of evil girl clique of a few girls in my area who would follow me home after school and stalk me and call me names and I was thinking man, these kids around here are mean and stupid. I had lived in what is believed to be a more low income area before that, but some of the friends I had there were pretty nice and I enjoyed hanging out with them. All that crap I went through was rough, but it made me into a tougher person. I am very sensitive to things but I also see bullshit for what it is and I have no problem standing up for myself and trying to help someone else who is being hurt by someone. There’s so many crazy people out there who project their insecurity and hate on to other people who don’t deserve it.
This song haunts me, but gives me a little bit of hope.

Darren Hayes unfortunately no, I was working away when you were in Brisvegas for let's try being. In love release tour this year. My friends went and I cried when I saw their videos. Bloodstained heart still makes me tear up. Was my favourite until this new album. It's wonderful and you should be so proud of this accomplishment. :)

totally lost. As of Nov 1, I am officially homeless now, I've hit rock bottom. I don't know what to do anymore. So many things I tried or wanted to do, never worked out for me. I'm barely surviving on disability, and I think I could get off of it and work but it would have to be on offbeat kind of job, I'm an empath, I'd like a job where I had nice coworkers, not a very stressful environment, no more than 40 hours a week, doing something creative that was positive. I feel like I'm asking for too much, part of my disability is that trying to work fast and to 10 things at once, it mentally affects me. I don't feel like I fit in anywhere. I have been verbally and emotionally abused by a lot of people, both men and women, and I can't be around men at all right now. I isolate myself because I can't deal with a lot of people, I don't know who to trust anymore, who to believe or whos lying to me to manipulate me, I'm totally freaking out!!! Can't believe my life has,come to this. It just goes from bad to worse, when the hell does anything ever get better. I'm totally covered in darkness now, totally hopeless, wish I just lived in a different world.
hopefully red we have all been to that dark place where you feel there is no hope. It does get better. Stay strong and surround yourself with good people and don't listen to those who belittle you as they are not worth wasting your emotions on. Trust your instincts and you will know who to reach out to. Don't suffer alone. Do things that make you happy. Take care.
