MSOC-C- 101: FUNDAMENTALS OF SOCIOLOGY AND SOCIAL ANTHROPOLOGY Course Objectives: The objective of this course is to familiarize the students with the discipline of Sociology and Social Anthropology, its historical roots, subject matter and its scope in India and abroad. It would also look at different traditions in Sociology and Social Anthropology and the debates relating to the nature of society andculture. It would apprise students with the recent advances in the field of Sociology and Social Anthropology by focusing upon its emergingbranches.
