As this season winds up, it strikes a familiar chord and connects with themes around sex, protection, consent, and better parenting. Thank you MTV Shuga for this. You should give us a male character to relate with in subsequent seasons. Men are not always the predators who do bad things to people. Bad things get done to them too!
Osoteku Oluwademilade Khalil, Laila’s brother, Faa’s brother, Yasmin’s husband there are number of good ones maybe build out their storylines more to your point
@@Noix009 Doesn't happen like that in real life. I'd be nice if they used the characters to be more realistic/articulate about how abuse takes place and what victims go through.

I am so glad both girls got to tell their stories, it was so painful just to watch. More light needs to be shed on these topics especially in African homes. African parents like to act like they don't know sex or boyfriend matters, they just ignore it and expect you to just know better when it is never discussed. I felt so bad for the mother, Choi! God help oh. Something like that should never happen to a child, I swear somebody is dying, my heart cannot take it. Tobi deserved all them punches
I really wish sometimes our parents would be bold enough to discuss with us and give proper sex education, and not just saying 'if a man touch you, you'll get pregnant', bcz as a kid when a man truly touches us and we dont get pregnant we have anxiety to know what happens next, the inquisitive nature is alws dere. I didn't think i'd cry like that. Watching Frances tell her story to the crowd and Faa talk about what happened to her on radio, really touched a nerve. I'm not a rape victim but i could still relate, a guy trying to manipulate you to do what you don't really feel comfortable with... This episode was just amazing, but i wish there was more. I want to see Bada go to jail, what happens to Faa's brother and his friends, and Diana get kicked out of the school etc. Thanks MTV Shuga for bringing in people like Corper Jasmin to the show because African/Nigerian parents to act as though their kids dont have feelings or would one day start developing feeling for the opposite sex etc.
I literally just finished crying😫😭😭. I Love this show so much!!! Shoutout to every single person who has made this show happen! From the writers, to the actors, sound, engineering and video crew etc!! You guys are amazing. The realities of this show reflect our society as a whole. It was only to bring back a familiar face. With Tobi being a villain, she was written in to be his buffer. Shows the growth of where she was, and the nasty person she use to be, and balance the person that he has become. Hope that things with Jamal grow more.
So this is really the end? I'm happy Faa and Frances got that little closure. Diana should have received some punches alongside Tobi. Let me beg you people for something, you see Cynthia, she doesn't have to be like Leila in the coming season. She doesn't need to change into something else and start begging that crush for love. Let her grow the way she already is growing. Thank you for a wonderful season Shuga. Waiting patiently for another one.

I was going to write the same thing. Abstinence, your true identity, self worth etc. Just imagine what Laila went through with Tobi. If she had a good sense of self worth, she wouldn't take such from anyone. Protection and contraceptives can't prevent the damage such experiences do to your mind and self esteem.
Na so we preach abstinence sooo much while teenagers continued to have unsafe abortions and think that washing your vagina with gin will prevent pregnancy

This show is really great, it talks about reality, the everyday life of teenagers and youths, what some people have to face and what some have faced, I like the fact that it captured everything, religion, culture, norms and believe of different societies and it is about what has been happening and is still happening and not about some fantasy. This is a great work of art
By far the best episode of Shuga I have ever seen. Really an emotional episode and I am a father, may God help the likes of Bada if they ever get close to mine!
I can relate to Leila's story except my baby will be coming soon. Becoming a single mom was never part of my plans but I will lover my baby no matter what ...Ladies we should watch out for men like Tobi, they will manipulate you to do what they want and make you forget what you really stand for.
Woooow! This is the season finale? Already??? Ahh Shuga why na? Uncle Cyril with that blow... Tobi messed up big time this season. Woow! This episode 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Just because you had consensual sex with someone before or are in a relationship with them or even married to them, does NOT give you access to their body at any given time. It's called bodily autonomy, look it up.
Those punches Tobi got today, thank you thank you! You deserve that and so much more! I hope this is not the last episode. What happens to Diana, Tobi and Bada?
Wooowww this was pregnant with warning, meaning and values and message well executed. Favourite episode of the season. I really appreciate this platform. Bless you all.
Frances is such a great actress. I foresee a great career in the film industry for her. I also wish every school ha a copper like copper Yasmin, kids need to be able to discuss sensitive issues with people they trust. In fact this whole episode got me so emotional. P.S: WHY HASN'T ANYONE PUNCHED DIANA IN THE FACE YET!?
Final episode!!! I’m going to miss this show, especially Cynthia and facial expressions. Corper Yasmin, Frances!!! Arrrghhhh!!! When’s season 8 out????
Shuga series is one educative programme for parents, youths and teenagers. Nice story line. African Parents need to bring their daughters closer to them, so they can confide and not fear them. these teens need someone they can trust with their concerns and hormonal issues.
Well, I just watched this show and this episode had me in tears. Many things I would have loved to tell my parents. Several things they could have helped me with. Multiple things I had to know and only learnt after being burnt, that I did not have to touch the flames. Thank you for this show. I feel the show is very much underrated.
This was an amazing episode of Shuga. Corpa Yasmin is really helping these students in so many ways and it great when there are people like her in life. Time is finally catching up to Tobi, Bada and Diana. You can't do bad things to people and get away with it forever. And Faa is sooo strong and brave and I am really proud of her plus Khalil is a great friend. This was really a game changing episode
Yes, Corper Yasmin is an Amazing Role Model. We need more approachable, mature, helpful, sensible, trustworthy reliable female role models/mentors like her in this world. Imagine if every young lady had an older sister with qualities like Corper Yasmin, the world will be a much better place and many unnecessary mistakes will be avoided.
This is by far my favourite Shuga episode ever!!! This show just continues to be a medium for education and highlighting important aspects of our society that we like to ignore.
Such an emotional episode. The many things parents miss and you wish they could just see it without having to say it. Crying at work 😥💙 #welldonemtvshuga

I'm not sure how I got here through TH-cam, but I love this series. I watched the whole season. This is something I would not have been able to view outside of TH-cam.
This episode got me really teary, Frances and Faa are really strong, opening up on issues like rape is not all that easy, but they did, parents should pay more attention and be sensitive to their children so they don't get the wrong information from the wrong source. And for bada, people like him should be castrated and taken to kirikiri prison.
Man, Frances' speech got me in tears. Classic Nigerian teenage story...almost all Nigerian parents avoid what's really important and focus on unnecessary things like school grades when their children are hurting and they can't even see.
Frances is a great actresss.soo natural and effortless.God increase her in her career according to His will.

The actress that played Frances deserves an Oscar! She was soooo amazing!
Mrs oletu is my fav character 😂😂
Shuga will not kill me with crying what kind of something is this..... this episode was so emotional
