Treasure in Tough Places! - Metal Detecting Every Nook & Cranny of this 1760's Property!

- This week we're metal detecting an old 1760's home that site across the street from another old home we did earlier this year. We did so well at the neighbor's house we knew this one would also be a winner. It also sits across the street from an old Inn that George Washington planned the battle of Trenton at, so the area was incredibly historic. The only issue was that the yard was on the smaller side and most of the yard that was detectable has an enormous low-hanging tree that we'd have to content with all day. But I pulled up my big boy pants and dove in, or under rather, and man did it pay off! It's ironic has the best things are often hiding in the hardest to reach places!
Also this Thursday make sure you tune in to an all new Quarter After LIVE show with special guest Brandon from Adventure Archaeology. We'll be talking about metal detecting, bottle digging, underwater treasure hunting, and all the time hanging out with everyone in the live chat. Hope you all can make it, this Thursday night starting 7:15pm EST, or as I like to call it Quarter After!

You guys need to do a short video on returning the class ring , good show you guys 👍👍
I always worry about road noise too Jason but when you watch the video it doesn’t seem to ever drown out the commentary.
What?
You guys absolutely killied that yard, or was it a truck stop? I find it so interesting to think that somewhere out there, is someone in their late 30's who lost that ring who knows when, and is about to receive the incredible news that they're getting it back. Personally, it was one of the greatest moments in my life, not just treasure hunting, but in life getting a ring back to someone to whom it meant so much. Great day of digging men and GL with the return!
George VI (born Albert "Bertie") was indeed Queen Elizabeth's father (and, therefore Charles' grandfather).
Jason. The 'Hit Man' Hoarder 😂!!
Jason, another great video. I think it’d be cool if you did a video on some of your finds that you put through electrolysis and show how they turned out. Keep up the great work!
Been watching for awhile and suprised at how much change people have dropped over the years
The Shaman Nixum granted you his silvers and his digging prowess.
If Doug gets one more Scoop Badge he's going to win a Pulitzer.
The first brass pocketbook clasp , leather inserts in top with small holes, the other end slips over a little clasp that turns and keeps the pocketbook closed.
Interesting! To me it looked like part of a set of suspenders… leather would be clasped in the end then the little hole would fit over a river on a strap to adjust the tension…
Another great hunt. The noise didn’t hinder the video at all.
What a great hunt ❤
Doug was killing it with the class ring 💍 hope to see a return of the ring video
I'm surprised Doug wasn't singing "My Ring-a -ling" My-Ring-a Ling" :) LOL
The class ring- the HF-ES means “Herff Jones” (the brand / manufacturer) and the ES means “extreme silver alloy” which is what the ring is made of.
I hope you find the owner… with the initials in it, I’m sure you will find him.
Excellent video awesome content thank you for sharing this with us six stars gentlemen
Cool hunt guys thanks!!!!!!!
Great finds . Doug.
Great finds guys! Fun video!
Cool class ring, awesome job gents
Great job, you two! I'll see you in Connecticut!!
Dougie came back swinging at the end there, didn't he, with that class ring. WOOO
Clad the impaler wielding his Excalibur Shovel! Killer class ring!😮🤩
😂 Casey.
@@teresathetreasurehunter 😁
With a great shovel comes great responsibility!
@@QuarterHoarder and that's to impale the earth 🤣
Clad the Impaler....I literally laughed out loud & immediately went to the comments. I knew I wasn't gonna be the 1st to make a comment! 😂😂
Jay, you two are literally about a mile from the quarry on Swamp Rd. That road has dump trucks running up and down RT 413 filled with gravel. It is very noisy, especially the empty ones. Hope you are at the tavern!
Hey Jason and Doug excellent Hunt there. Congrats on all the Wheaties IHPs Silver Mercury Dime and Quarter. Love the Knee Buckle Jason. Doug the Class Ring Wow. Beautiful and Congrats. Take Care Jason and Doug. Looking forward to the next video
What a full yard! I hope you find the owner of the ring. I’m sure he will be happy.
Great hunt guys..hope you are able to find the owner of that class ring!
What a great yard. Hope you can find the ring owner and show the return.
Awesome hunt
Nice Indian head penny's for the both of you. Nice knee buckle Jason. Beautiful class ring Doug.
A zipper for a giant! Lmao Awesome hunt guys!
Got to love 10 min. Of 1919 dime.
Got a nokta first swing. I like it so far. Haven't found a ton of stuff mostly old nails and trash. Would like to get the legend sometime down the line . I live in NW Illinois so there's a few old places to hunt up around here. Right now just sticking to my yard and a few close places. My first detector was a bounty hunter but after watching you guys use the Noktas I had to get 1.. love the videos and enjoy the content happy hunting to you all
See ya Thursday.
That class ring was the best find, ever, glad you guys brought it back to the owner
Great finds guys, specialy the ring, that guy if you find him ,he has a story to tell his grand kids.
Great hunt. Looked like a bunch of good exercise. Thanks for sharing!!!
I love finding the old locks !
Under the pine. Where did your head go? Oh there it is! The hat blends so well with the surroundings. Cool cuz I got the same one. :)
I was so sick all morning.I am feeling better this afternoon though.Strange how you can have good hours and bad hours like that.Thankyou for the video fellas.I wish I could be there with you, but you guys are so terrific that I sometimes feel I am.You guys have a nice day.Hi Doug thankyou so much for responding to my posts.😊
My pleasure Harry. I hope you have more good hours/days than bad. Thanks for your comments and for supporting the channel
Great video and finds.Cant wait for the Ring return. AWESOME find Douglas
I just love the videos of class rings being returned. But what a great hunt on such a small area.
Congrats, guys. I'm glad to see Jason had a chance to get some digging in.
Nice finds guys! Today's hunt was a sequel," Breakin' Jason, The Relic Wrecker Too!" Haha! 😁
Good hunt guys.
I love the whole crew but it was fun to see just you two goofballs doing a dig. Always a good time.
Brings me back to old days of counting quarters with Dougie and Paul . Many moon's ago.
Another amazing hunt. Congrats to both of you. The class ring was the top find. I imagined a young man giving it to his girlfriend. They got into an argument and she tossed it out the window of his car. He looked and looked, but couldn't find it. Hope you're able to return it and get the real story as to how it may have gotten there. Looking forward to Thursday night. Thanks for another great video Quarter Hoarder. 👊
Fun to see you do more detecting this week Jason!
What a great yard. Looks like you guys had a blast!
Cool class ring
Awesome class ring, I love finding them!!!
The quarter is the date I was born, awesome.
I have fun . Man how cool to find that young man. Blessings
Holy smokes guys!!! I’m going to go out on a limb and say that pine tree put up a good fight but Jason and Doug prevailed. 👍
What a fun variety that yard had.
I SAID, “WHAT A FUN VARIETY THAT YARD HAD”.
Not sure if you got your hearing back yet? 🤪
Can you imagine trying to sleep with all of that road noise. Crazy.
Thanks for the great video.
Yay Class Ring‼️‼️. Great job Doug & J 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
‘Ya know…. Ziiiip’. Had me lol’ing.
Great seeing Jason dig some targets, good for you! I thought Doug was going to give Jason a Haymaker when he dug that Slaymaker..lol Have a Great day fellas!!!👍
Yayyyy. Taco money for Dougie. Heck of a day and the ring was beautiful.
I like to hear 1956 isn't super old. My dob. 😊
Great episode, great finds guys!
I really loved that rich, dark green patina on that first Indian that you dug Jason. It was definitely a darker green than the first Indian that Doug dug. But I still love them both! ❤
Awesome finds! Great video!
What a pair you two are great video
Cool finds...👍
Beautiful class ring!!
Nice video to see celebrities metal detecting !
ohhh love the class ring
Yes that was QE2's dad (12:25) George the 6th aka "Bertie." That big ol' tree is probably the reason all those discoveries had not been detected prior to you guys! The tree was a pain, but you owe it big time! The ring HJ is Herff Jones, the company that made it. Great job you guys!!
If I am not mistaken, the ring is made from Lustrum or Lustrium. Not white gold. Still a cool find.
NICE
wow thats a great hunt
Sweet finds
Crossing the Delaware on Christmas, love it.
Great hunt guys. The class ring was cool. I hope you find the owner. Let us know in comments below. Take Care.
Hahaha 😂 clad the impaler 🧛♂️
Great video
Great one penny, it is Birdie, thats cool
Oh wow, oh that's big. #thatswhatshesaid
nice ring recovery hope you find the owner!
That's the issue with my detector. I found plenty of old pennies, but I think the silvers a bit deeper and my cheap detector can't pick it up. When I get a new better one, I'll have to go over my yard yet again. Loved Clad the Impaler 😂
That intersection is always very noisy. I've been at that spot dozens of times, but never thought to ask for permission!
Right down the street from you isn’t it Susie?
@@dogtagdoug6751 LOL, as you well know at this point. You've hit every building at that intersection since you first went to the pumpkin farm. There are lots more great old, and quieter, properties in the area.
HJ is Herff Jones, Chicago, I think. They were a Balfour competitor.
Finally got my camo quarter hat today
Those pine trees were probably very tiny, or non existent when those things were lost. Those are either white or loblolly pines. You can tell the difference by running two fingers down a needle. The white pine will feel very smooth, while the loblolly will feel like it has tiny teeth.
Run your fingers backwards toward the tip of the needle.
Fun to watch the Quarter Hoarder put Quarter Hoarder Woarter on a silver quarter. Say that three times fast! 😂
This day we found Dog tag Doug and the new guy Jason the Jangler!!!!
The giant zipper looks like a civil war era napsak clasp
George sixth was Lizzie 2nds Dad. Nice to see coppers come up that aren't blazed or pickled. Artificial manure ir the bane of rural coppers over here in UK.
Shoot a pic of that second find over to Brad..he maybe able to clue you in...I was thinking early clip of some kind
Jason sounds like the Grinch. “All the noise, noise, noise!”
Sad there is way to much noise, to many people, that used to be a beatiful place now the cars and trucks...
The "Quarter Hoarder" struck again today! Stealing some of Doug's luck....!
Clad the impaler?! Lmao
The football players ex through it out at that stop sign!
Thanks for covering for Rich lol
The first old thing you found was Doug, but at least you didn't Knick him.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Jason you sound like the Grinch. “All the noise, noise, noise!”
Look at Doug spraying the ring like a champ! Bet you he's at home practicing every day for moments like this ;-) The ring was way cooler than Grandmas Upholstery or whatever weirdness you said was cool QH...
I dedicate at least an hour each day to spraying dirty coins.😮
@@dogtagdoug6751 It shows! You're almost a pro now!
That cooked lobster looks a lot like Doug!
You were correct, King George VI was Queen Elizabeth II father.
