The Zone "SO"s will most likely work like the Platoons Missions in SWGOH.
To clarify the Platoon Mission mechanic, there's one in each zone that consists of 6 Platoons, each requiring 15 characters at a certain star/gear level to be filled out and they can't be used in missions in that zone. After your alliance fills out at least 2, your characters will get stat bonuses and/or a granted ability in battles, which is shared between all characters (excluding summons) and on global cooldown. After you fill 4 and 6, you'll get more stats and/or an upgrade to the granted ability. Some zones may have a similar mechanic that benefits the enemies, where they get stats/a granted ability and filling out the Platoons will lower their stat bonus/downgrade their ability until they get disabled at level 6. Some bonuses may carry through out the zones, which will make completing certain Platoons more or less mandatory.
If it's anything like SWGOH, the SOs will require both very useful characters that make the mission easier (like OML) AND useless characters (ancient teams like Shadowland or AIM) that you'll be forced to upgrade to the required threshold in order to fill them out. The Platoons in SWGOH can also require the same characters multiple times, which means that at least X amount of people will have to have said character at the required star/gear level. Also, a person can only put down 10 characters in a Platoon, so everyone has to put characters down characters and you can't have 2-3 people "take one for the team" and fill out the entire Platoon all by themselves.
I expect different numbers on the "SO"'s (less characters since the Alliances are half the size of the Guilds in SWGOH) but more or less the same concept

Hey Boilon, bit of an off-topic question. What do your recommend, upgrading OML to 6 Redstar now, or wait till i have enough for 7 Redstaring Super Skrull? keep up the good work/content :)
Personally, I do not have 7R Skrull but I would go for a 7R OML first so I can get to diamonds on him eventually. They're both outside of the "arena meta" but I think OML is overall a stronger character for other game modes. 6750 for OML 7 vs 10k for Skrull.

Good point at the end. This WILL break many semi- casual alliances....and probably some competitive ones too. There's already too small a supply of people willing to donate the time to be a War Capt. If we need a BW Capt too, that's going to be a tall order

@andrewroy6845 It's tough, man. Good leadership is counter. Intuitive. You need to be present at first to get the ball rolling, but your goal is a good leader. Just to make sure your team can function without you. If you gotta hole people's hand.

But a lot of people don't realize that So if someone is a war leader, and they have to direct and maestro, everybody's attacks, they're doing their team a disservice.

Think of the Star Wars Galaxy thing as Alliance crucible
incorrect. Crucible is the equivalent Grand Arena in Star wars. Territory battles is a PVE mode. In the latest version of TB it has 3 zones per day a villain zone, a hero zone and a mixed of both zone. Each zone has like 4-6 missions with each one having some restrictions asking for certain factions, characters or using the ships, most missions reward points towards the zone progression but there are some special missions that give currency for the guild events store per win of this mission. Then each zone has an operations/platoons section where players donate the required units to give bonus points AND zone bonuses to the combat missions, or it sabotages the bad guys side bonuses for the zone. Whats left over from your roster that wasn't platooned or used in a mission can just be deployed to a zone for its TP (called GP in star wars)

As for screen time. Swgoh would do territory battles one week, territory wars the other week. I would prefer something like that. Battleworld one week, alliance war the second week. Otherwise this is way too much time for a game that requires way too much time
Didn’t think of this. Maybe it’s not weekly but every other week, this could be a thing but I’m not sure what their plans are
I hope Scopely has thought to give us a new tab for saved squads. If we are really getting BW in Q4, Scopely should already be putting out info like you are doing. I have thought this before, you are what Scopely's PR department should be. lmao

Dear Boilon please pass this on to Scopely some how which I know you are on them about the state of the game. I used to enjoy this game but now I only feel hate towards this game more and more. “To Scopely: The Orcus RAID is terrible. The Orcus raid team sucks the release methods for character are not free to play friendly which I have always been buying characters at release and all the passes. But with all the changes to the game I probably will quite playing and I am no longer going to spend on this game going forward because there is no point. All the new character suck compared to the teams they replace. My Pegasus team is way better than Orcus team. Why would they not organize the node better for the raid. It’s impossible to use your Orcus raid team because there is mystic raid team that is needed before the tech node to even get to it. That team is so old. I feel like the company is being run by a bi-polar chimpanzee.”
So based on MCU releases, expect a Red hulk, Cap Sam, Daredevil, and Iron heart re-work? 🤔🤨

Serious question. Would you like Battleworld to be challenging and take more time, or easier and take less time?
If the time has to Come from somewhere else. What other game modes should be reduced?
I mean there’s 3 difficulties it looks like, so I suppose I would hope the top end is challenging. I am concerned about screen time as mentioned so if it’s more manual play they need to cut out of probably alliance war by giving us sims
@Boilon I would like Sims for alliance war. I like war, but sometimes you do get easy matchups, that you could just sim through. It's come up a time or 2 In the player voice server the very competitive people don't want it because it incentivizes their members to get lazy, and not be aggressive. But I would be fine with it.

TB had missions requiring traits, then their would be a special mission. Then it would have 6 squads and each had a list of specific characters for someone in the guild to donate. Filling all the squads gave buffs in the next round. Only one person would have to donate the character for that squad. After you finished all that stuff you could deploy the rest of your roster. Each zone you could get 1-3 stars depending on points scored from missions and deployment
In territory battle in each zone there are some battles you play out but also some characters you just deploy to parts of each section
Does battleworld leakes change your decisin to core nimrod or omega sentinel? I saved 8k cores currently, and was going to hoard until nightstalkers team

Also cable but without the virus idk from another timeline which is omega lvl i think ; enchantress, also onslaught mm I might miss some but there is a couple more now if they bring onslaught,Cassandra and legion they probably rework sinister and other character like the clone of cable and is an all enemy mutant team maybe even Sebastian shaw on it and this will set up for a new mutant raid team before Charles release

Territory battles is where you can deploy your units into different zones and in each zone there are specific battles that offer more points if you beat them but they require specific teams/characters
And then there’s the platoons which someone else explained
So if you use toons on earlier sections you can't use them later? Or just save cooldowns
Not 100% Official but the SWGOH model is once per day (Zone).
What's the difference between BW and Raids other than rewards? seems very similar.
I suppose it's similar just the structure will be different.

there was reference to Spec Ops actually in the datamine so that's probably what SO stands for. Or Special Operations.

Good video, lots of useful info. One thing though, you really should redesign your frame and/or layout as they tend to consistently detract from the useful slides you make.
TB doesn't use energy or anything artificially limiting you. The only limit is your roster, everyone in the guild is able to do every mission as long as you have the characters. You get points for completing missions and reaching certain point thresholds grant stars up to 3 stars per zone. I believe you need at least 1 star to move to the next zone, but obviously more stars = better reward tiers. Once you move to the next zone, you cannot go back to the previous ones. After doing all of the available missions, you can deploy the rest of your roster and get additional points that scales with the power of your characters. If you're unable to get the 1 star needed to move to the next zone, you stay in the current zone on the next day, it doesn't just end. However, I think you only are able to do each mission once, so if you fail a mission, it's done, so you have to just deploy for points. I haven't played SWGOH for over a year, so I'm not sure if the missions are available if you are on a second day of the same zone, but I believe they do not.
Zone 4 mission 4 easy. Apoc, Weaver, Red Hulk, MLF, and Vahl/Deathpool/Kestrel (if you have orchis)

I am super pumped for Battleworld. It looks like it will be good, challenging endgame content. And I kind of disagree with your screen time take, I honestly want more screen time as long as it is quality screen time, which it seems it will be. I want more reasons to play.
Quality screen time is fine. But, I don’t find that’s what alliance war is to me which is where the current sinks are I believe now
I thought json files were 'publicly available information'. How is this a leak?
JSON files are ‘publicly available information’. But this would be treated as a leak if we were both a part of the envoy program.

@@Ranoake shall we say they are very picky as to when Datamines are NDA’d and when they aren’t. For example the reason Boilon and I had to can the last Collab was because we were both in the Envoy program and what we were going to talk about got put under embargo literally the day after we recorded. There was information on Odin that I was going to post early (stats ect) that were in the Datamines that I was stopped from doing. So their choice of when it does and doesn’t constitute as being under Embargo/NDA is very washy.

You both have such a deep knowledge of this game, I trust, and value your opinions. But a 40 min video where we watch you have your thoughts out loud, and talk over BPG the whole time... come on. Your purple box-within-a-box border... just get rid of it, its been in the way, and cutting off text for 3 years!!! I want to know about these topics, but watching your videos, especially this one is just painful. You need to deliver succinct and complete thoughts, 12 mins tops, fix your graphics so they're legible. Watching you figure out what you're doing, or watching you do math isn't quality content.
lol. If you want a 12 minute video on all of this information then that's probably not going to happen. While I appreciate your feedback there is no way even solo this would have been that short of a video. Literally what is being explained is the majority of what to expect from Battleworld (A BRAND NEW GAME MODE) given what we know and have seen them emulate from SWGOH + all the datamined information. First version of the video was about 50-minutes pre edit, you wouldn't have liked that then.

Looking at what's so far been seen of Battleworld, it's a clearly inferior version.
I have collab'd with Nooch when we were doing LOTR Home, fun guy!
So, deployment in swgoh was broken up into 6 rooms and players would have to deploy specific characters to fill the the room, for each 2 rooms fully filled you would nerf the buff enemies got for that section of the map (fully filling the entire deployment would disable the buff completely) characters deployed could not be used for combat missions.
