This is the first time claire played and spoke freely ,I had to watch this video thrice,I'm impressed please send me your measurement, AKAH naa work you do
I am so happy to see Africans be more open and honest about their sexual experiences. Happy married life, I pray that you will both grow and build together in joy and peace. Cheers
THE. MOST. GENUINE. post-marriage video on the internet. Whaattt! No pretense whatsoever! When one person went "uhhh" the other person felt the same and all your reactions working in synergy made this video hilarious as always. I can tell you are on the right path to staying married and doing life together God's way. Keep working on your marriage! And I LOVVEEE the advise you gave here, especially how the people holding you both accountable put things in perspective so you knew you were not alone + the talk on unreasonable expectations people set before marriage. Claire, I felt allll your emotions when you talked about the rough patch you had and how it led you to cut your hair. Huggiesss ❤️❤️ I'm happy you are much better and you're glowing. It'll get easier especially as you two are committed to figuring things out together, and learning. I'm also wondering if Claire felt the same thing Akah felt (society looking at you in a different light). I'm sure you did and will talk about it in another video soon. I know you were trying to wrap this up :) Love you guys! Thanks for the honesty. I always say that married folks don't let us in, even slightly and that's why people go into marriage expecting roses whereas the married people are giggling at the unmarried ones in that "when you reach this side you'll see" attitude. Hoping it changes with this bold step you're taking. Thank you!
I can't lie... The married folks jes laugh at the singles to be married ... Lik when I literally tell pple congrats I'm lik get ready in my head ...lol...at God help our generation
@@ebilicioustv2644 loooollll! We shall fine you, sis 😂It's almost like you guys are saying "no one told me anything, so you gon learnnnnn when you enter". LOL! 😂😂😂
I think she's always been this way. The first time I discovered her was on a panel at Lagos social media week. She spoke so well and was so relatable, I went to look for her on Instagram and discovered she was Akah's girlfriend.
This is the most transparent post-wedding video I've watched with a Nigerian couple. Thanks for your candor; we're learning! New subbie in da houuuse! - Naya
Thank you so much Claire and Akah for being SO real. Two lessons I picked up: 1) getting a wedding planner is essential, it is not even a luxury; and 2) marriage counselling is okay and even essential. GOD Bless your home!
I love how Eniola is more outspoken and more expressive. We’re kinda similar in that area, the best thing is to just express how you’re feeling how you’re feeling at the moment, use your words... God will be with you guys
I LOVE that you comfortably talked about sex because as a virgin I’ve been looking for couples who talk about their sexual life in marriage. Bless you guys ❤️❤️
Soon as you guys talked about the sex part so bluntly I was like naahhhhhhhhh I am so subscribing. Was expecting some codedness but was pleasantly surprised. Thanks for being so relatable and God bless your marriage!!!
" You are the joy of my life". I am happy when l see you". Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Thank you guys so much for being very open and transparent. And Akah, your mum is the real MVP. She told you to give her a year to adjust. That is really wonderful.
What kills a lot of marriages is everyone’s perfect rosy idea of marriage. When any small thing happens they can’t cope because they have filled themselves with novel romance. Is only God that can help us 😢
Honestly, I can relate to this. I got married 2 months ago but I'm so sad, the whole change is overwhelming, sometimes I wish I can talk to someone but I still feel like people won't understand like they expect everything to be rosy all because you are married but in honesty it is choking, sometimes I feel like running away and leaving everything behind. I pray I come out of this, the responsibility and expectation is too much.
The first few months will be fights over silliest things😭😭 because you are still learning each other but will gradually adjust😂 Speaking from experience😩 but marriage is a beautiful thing, you just have to find a balance.
Omg omggggggggg I hope my husband sees my comment....this is so usssss and I'm so claire. I cant sleep if we are fighting. I feel my emotional security was broken into. Ahah and Claire basically preparing me for the future. It’s almost a lot to take in but one thing I learnt is to find someone w the same mindset as you .... at least
wow!! young relationships will appreciate this because as every young person is getting married now, no one is sharing their experience post-marriage. the next thing we hear is, they are no longer together after a year without us knowing the reason/s. I am sure saving this video and letting him watch it. Thanks for sharing guys. Looking forward to more of this
Finally watched this video... I’m 2 months in marriage and I can so relate with most of what you shared. The depression, oh my God the sex life...ahahaha I’m actually laughing but it wasn’t funny and we are still working on it, the adjustment to go back to work ..We have been constantly late since we got back to work... lol I think I will need a channel to really explain honestly. Thanks guys for sharing . Claire we have so much in common. Keep shining guys
Do you know what's funny? I feel like Claire is narrating my issues. I went to therapy, just to figure out what was going on. I was putting all the pressure on my hubs, and the problem was me especially the change in moving to London and having to start my career/new path again, definitely made me depressed. It's nice that you guys are sharing this to help young couples. We should definitely keep trying to make things work from sex to communication and spirituality.
I wish couples would be this open and realistic and talk about their marriage between themselves. No marriage is perfect but open and genuine communication goes a long way to make a marriage strong and mature. I'm praying for this in my own marriage too.
When communicating listen to understand not to reply. Communicate your anger don’t express it, this way you would find a solution. Most wives need to feel love to make love and most husbands need to make love to feel love. Have plenty of sex; it’s so important and pray while doing it😁... those prayers always get answered. Wives respect your husband and husbands love your wives( this advice helped me a lot). Always pray about everything. Those are some of the advice that has helped me so far. I have been married for just 7 years. You both are so cute. God bless your home and marriage.
How does one pray during sex ma ?I am a single lady tho, won't it be like a distraction ,what do you think and how do we go about it when for newly weds ?
haruna shayet just pray! Pray while he stroking lol. Thank you God for my loving husband, thank you God for our intimacy, thank you God for our fiancés and ask that you continue blessing our finances

Rachael Nwobodo Hi why were you guys depressed? Want to know if Hebrew something Incan expect and avoid to have a better experience. Hope everything is fine now my sisters.

The fact that you guys comfortable spoke about your sex life is just amazing. I feel like people don’t really talk about issues like this almost like it doesn’t exist. I am also like claire, any big change affects me mentally drastically. It’s always so bad that my life literally goes backward. You guys are amazing. I hope you have a wonderful friendship and marriage . 💕💕
I just watched this video and I can totally relate with the sex issue, I got married three months ago and mehn, the time before the sex became great, I used to think maybe my body wasn’t appealing to my husband but overtime, I realized it a gradual process of knowing and unlearning a lot of things. Thank you guys ❤️

I’ve never been married but I always say that it can’t be as easy as people want us single people to believe; and going into it with the right person is soooooo important! We just got married and it is difficult adjusting to not seeing my parents,my siblings and my former life. It's emotionally draining plus I hate change.
I also got married in April and it's been wonderful but draining, I totally relate with Claire on so many issues, as my husband got back into work and daily living so easily while I am still struggling with the change and trying to get back on track. Really enjoyed this video it's very realistic, nothing really prepares you for life after marriage .
Very rightly said....that change took me to a place where I couldn't find myself, got married, left naija.....All took a big hit on me. Took me years to gather myself even after 2 kids. Literally just finding myself
Thank you so much for your transparency. This is definitely going to help THOUSANDS understand that no marriage is perfect, even the ones destined from God. God bless you both! I’ll support y’all forever!! ♥️
Nice video. Marriage to the individual you love is a thing of joy. It doesn't mean that all is going to be well all the time. As a man let your wife win most of the arguments. Respect your wife appreciate her from time to time buy her little gifts. When she is doing a lot of cooking let her know you appreciate her work in the kitchen. Make it a point of duty to always assist in domestic work around the home. I bet you, you will get the best from her. Am talking from experience. In spite of all these, there is still going to be misunderstanding in the marriage from little issues here and there. Communication, listening and respect for one another will surely take your marriage to another level. Watching from New York
Absolutely luv the openness of this vlog. I remember watching the clip of Claire cutting her hair and I was like this isn't an "i want to try a new look", babes is going through something or finding it difficult to adjust into her new status, maybe even depressed... I'm glad you pulled through it.
I can totally relate to Claire falling into depression....I think I had the same situation after getting married. I left Nigeria two days after plus having to pursue a master’s degree at the same time , It’s been 1yr and I STILL HAVE NOT FOUND MYSELF/BALANCE it’s just been me living it as it comes and it’s overwhelming.
I loooooove how open and honest you both are . You don't understand how difficult it is to find a TH-camr that's reaaalll... Thank you sooo much. I'm a new subscriber !!!!
I'm not married yet o but I understand the not wanting letting an argument last over night.... I am like Eniola I want to talk there and there but my boo takes his time we try to find a balance to make it work and understanding is key.... I fell if you know the root of the problems, solving won't be that difficult 🤗 love you guys and I wish you blissful years ahead🙏
Lol....I have thought about separation and divorce too...and i complained to a married friend, she said oh yeah it's normal, marriage isn't rosy. It's never rosy and not a fairytale. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm sending it to my spouse asap
I love this so much, I’ve never seen this kind of vlog like this where Nigerian couples are talkin about their marriage because it’s so descreet and they don’t go in to details so this is very different being vulnerable and open so thank you for this because Nigerian marriage is different from the western marriages.
Wow....I am so delighted to watch this, just getting to know you guys like today, and wow...Claire, thank you for sharing this, this is literally me right now, I recently got married, and even though I am happy to be with my partner, I still feel down, sometimes I feel like there is something I need to do, my husband keeps asking if I am okay most of the time, like I am happy when he is around and all....but the moment he is out I feel sad, my husband asked me the other day if I was okay, that I don't post pictures and all like I used to, and in all sincerity, my husband makes so much effort and all, he is my best friend and all, but I just don't know why I feel the way I do...thank you for this video

Very rightly said....that change took me to a place where I couldn't find myself, got married, left naija.....All took a big hit on me. Took me years to gather myself even after 2 kids. Literally just finding myself
My love to you. I've never had a desire to get married but I had NO IDEA people felt like this after marriage! Crazy!
U guys are so real.. and that’s what a lot of people needs to hear
You guys are the realest couple EVER !! Love it , love it, love it !! So subscribed ..
Please don’t ever change
Wow... Thanks for this.
Absolutely luv the openness of this vlog. I remember watching the clip of Claire cutting her hair and I was like this isn't an "i want to try a new look", babes is going through something or finding it difficult to adjust into her new status, maybe even depressed... I'm glad you pulled through it.
It would get better by the grace of God... I'm glad you guys are pushing through ❤❤❤
I can totally relate to Claire falling into depression....I think I had the same situation after getting married.

Lol....I have thought about separation and divorce too...and i complained to a married friend, she said oh yeah it's normal, marriage isn't rosy. It's never rosy and not a fairytale. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm sending it to my spouse asap
loved how authentic this was
Omg the most genuine Nigerian couple.. Well done.. Am subbing immediately
Y'all are funny!! and i love how open you guys are
