Unfortunately twitch doesn’t allow any extensions on the mobile app. It’s a difference of an extension highjacking the web browser for twitch.tv and not being able to inject code into the mobile application. Hoping one day twitch will allow it.
For this one you cannot add sounds, you may be able to if you're a premium member. However there is another video I did on OverlayExpert that is fully customizable down to the sounds and gifs for alerts. if you want to see that video it's here: th-cam.com/video/I3fiRCSjBPU/w-d-xo.html

I've ben going back and forth with the company about not being able to see alerts. They obviously worked for me for a while, then they had stopped for a bit. I opened a support ticket with Own3d.tv and they told me to check the little extension box on the right hand side of the stream window (the actual stream itself) and make sure the that "visible" checkbox was checked. Suddenly they started working again. They did mention that it will not work on mobile and it will only work for new subs/follows. Have you tried to actually start a stream, go into the configuration window and click the "test" button on a follow? It should pop the test alert on your actual stream so keep that open and watching for it.

Bro, ive checked this same extension like last year and it wasn't working, watched some videos and joined their discord and their live chat and they said it doesn't work? And suggested me to get lightstream wtf is that? So my only question to them last year this year and any year is Will my viewers watch it? Because people say it doesn't show on phone idk man help me out
So twitch extensions don’t work on mobile. That’s correct. The mobile app doesn’t have a true web browser front end for the extensions to run in. I’ve never messed with lightstream but I believe it’s a paid app for the Xbox that allows alerts and overlays. Again I’ve never messed with it so take that lightly.it’s true there are a lot of mobile viewers but there’s also a ton of pc viewers. Worst case scenario you set it up and half of your viewers see an overlay and alerts and half don’t. But if that’s all you have then something is better than nothing. In my opinion anything you can do to possibly better your stream for any number of viewers is worth it.

The stream alert doesn't show up on the playstation.... you had it pulled up in on computer I've done this for my playstation and still don't get stream alerts... thanks for nothing
Correct, there’s no way for the alert to feed back onto the PlayStation. The alert is a Twitch Overlay which means it runs in a web browser on top of the channel. You won’t see any alerts on your actual PlayStation, only on the stream.
Does this work even if im not playing remotely? I activated the alerts and set it as overlay1 but I broadcast and play from my ps4, I dont do remote play. Does that matter?
These run in the browser when someone is watching your stream. They don’t show over top of your gaming session. Only for someone watching on twitch. And only on the web, unfortunately the mobile app doesn’t support any extensions.
Oh ok so While im playing in the ps4 I wont see the alerts on my screen tv screen. I would have to have a computer by my side to see the notifications ? Correct?
Do you mean where the alerts shows on the screen? I don’t believe there is. I’m not a pro subscriber to own3d so I’m not sure of the flexibility you get if you pay. But for the free ones I think you get what you get.
hello! i'm sorry you're having issues. I'm not an expert on the own3d site, but i can try my best to help. the console shouldn't matter since this is just running on the browser. Have you tried to completely uninstall the extension and then reinstall it? After it's installed and you have enabled the extension on an "overlay" when you visit your stream page, does the little side box pop up over the stream saying that there is an extension running? When you're configuring your alerts and you click save, is it saving? and when you open the "preview" window is anything showing up there when you test the alerts?
@@Muddog-md7ob you’ll need to configure it. If you go back through the video after I show how to install it, I walk through how to configure it. Setting up the free theme and then you should be able to set it to overlay 1. Let me know if you still have issues.
Looks like they made have made some changes since i made the video. The "alert message" will be the 'subtitle' on the alert. And if you want a separate message in the chat it seems like you can configure that as the "Chat Message"
Unfortunately no twitch extensions work on mobile. Most extensions are leveraging some type of code in the browser itself, and since the mobile app isn’t a true web browser, there’s no way to inject the code.
@@millergreen9176 hmmm, i just tried to test it out, and my alerts are not showing on the test either. Since this is "hosted" magic somewhere through Own3d.tv, i'm curious if they're having any integration issues.
Ah ok. The dashboard is only on pc. You might try going to twitch on a mobile browser and trying to request the desktop site. That may or may not work. But the twitch app does not allow you to get the dashboard.
Unfortunately twitch extensions are not supported on mobile. Hoping twitch gets their act together on this as it’s a hinderance for every twitch extension not just alerts.
@@hhllhh it’s all console players have for a free choice. You can always pay for lightstream and have alerts on mobile. But not everyone wants to sink money into streaming if they’re just starting. We take what we can get.
I actually did some research yesterday, and on the Own3d.tv FAQ for the extension it says that this is not available on mobile just yet. However it also mentions they are working on a new extension that will offer more flexibility than this one. Here's to hoping!
What I meant was a pc setup to utilize obs and a capture card and streaming. You may have a laptop that won’t run obs or have enough horsepower to run a stream, but a web browser to at set this up at least. Yeh I get it’s a little contradictory 🤦

@@Alienmoony Sure thing. This twitch extension is actually running on twitch, not on the console itself. When you have an extension installed, and someone is on the twitch website watching your stream, the extension is actually inserting code into the twitch webpage to show the viewer the alert/overlay. It's not going to show on your console, it's simply an 'overlay' on top of your twitch stream on the web browser. How do I link the donation alert with my donation link?
I believe you have to be a ‘pro’ subscriber to Own3d for donation alerts. Then they give you a link to put on your page for donations. That link is what triggers the donation alert for them. I looked everywhere for a way to link PayPal but didn’t see one with my free account.

You might try going to twitch.tv and requesting the desktop site. I’m not sure if that will let you enable extensions though. It may be a desktop only thing.
Also you might try it on your console browser. Both Xbox and ps4 have a web browser. Worth a shot.
Quick question, is there alert sounds on this extension?
I don’t believe there are sounds for this one. But I did a video on OverlayExpert which allows sounds and even full overlays for consoles. If you feel like checking it out here it is: th-cam.com/video/I3fiRCSjBPU/w-d-xo.html

Will my viewers watch it?

@@ChowlbPlays for me no that does not for I am a simpleton would you mind dumbing that down
@@Alienmoony Sure thing. This twitch extension is actually running on twitch, not on the console itself. When you have an extension installed, and someone is on the twitch website watching your stream, the extension is actually inserting code into the twitch webpage to show the viewer the alert/overlay.
