LOVE to see golf like this - natural, unpretentious, inclusive and free. Scores don’t matter, where the camaraderie and fun of the challenge are the priority. What more could you ask for? Great feature Iona!! Cheers
Thank you for this, Iona. And thank you for being you: completely unpretentious, not full of yourself at all. I'm thinking that you would be an absolute joy to be around. So, again, thank you from the other side of the pond, next to the conjunction of two of the largest rivers in the world, the old M and M.
Iona, I absolutely LOVE listening to you explain what you see and feel. You make me feel like I simply must go in an attempt to have a similar experience. THANK YOU!!!
I’ve been waiting for this featured Round on the Isle of Iona. Golf at its finest . . . Good friend, Great Scenery and Cold Beer . . . What more could an old lad wish for? . . . Iona herself in the foursome!!! Tea in hand on a rainy afternoon in North Carolina to share with my Scottish Friend. Love your channel and your love of Life and the game we pursue.
I honestly believe golf puts us in touch with nature in every way. It's a special game that brings us to special places we would never normally go. I can't imagine not having golf in my life.
I've had the privilege of playing it few years ago with only 4 clubs, I felt like I was stepping back in time playing golf as it would have been played 100 years ago. Probably the best golf experience I ever had! Thanks Iona!
One of my favourite places in the world but never took my clubs as I do not play golf when I am on holiday went there nearly every year on my yearly holiday to Mull and always walked all over that part and indeed all over Iona Sadly not able to drive the long distances from the south of England and we miss it so much Thanks for bringing back so many memories for us in your film Iona truly great
My favourite episode of Chasing The Red! That is golf as golf is meant to be. I would love to play that course ---- but what a commute from South Africa.
Thanks for showing golf in its natural form in Iona. In my early days of golf I played golf at my uncle's farm with my cousin. We laid out three holes around an interesting quarry feature in the field nearest to the farmhouse. Some 65 years on I still play golf with my cousin although now the golf is at a golf club! It must be wonderful to carry the name of this famous Scottish island and return to play golf there. It was clearly evident what this island and its golf course means to you.
Iona, have only just found your channel & am so glad, its wonderful. You are so refreshing, refreshing & endearing. The Sam interview was so atmospheric & captivating. Good luck with all you do. I am now tuned in. Take care, B
Chasing the Red is a worthy goal. Chasing the feeling you get from the confluence of land, sea, salt air, meandering sheep and cows, flowering fairways and good company is just sublime.
My favourite video of yours yet. It not only show cases golf in its rawest form but equally demonstrates your gentle, kind nature. I think if I could play a round with anyone in the world, it would be with you, Iona.
I would fancy a picnic on the isle of Iona...with Iona, of course. Lovely video and I would have to agree that this is the way golf was meant to be played and enoyed.
Iona is such a magical place, I could watch these videos over and over. And Iona S is a wonderfull host, at ease in front of the camera as I suspect she is all the time. I will definitely take a few clubs next time I go there as I could only walk around the course and relax on the wonderful sandy beach when we were there in the spring. I can also recommend the B&B by the slipway to the Iona ferry on Mull.
So soothing to watch this. Golf in it's purest form. Little guy in the stroller will probably get a kick out of watching it when he's a little older🤣. Thanks for sharing another great one.
I was there in 2001 … didn‘t played golf at that time. I regret since than not used the chance to have a look on the course . Thnx to you i got a chance to see it after 20y ❤ I‘m pleased to see you in that relaxed manner enjoying your own game. Look forward for more to come 😊
Wonderful video. Golf as it was meant to be. Looks like so much fun!! And job well done on your coverage of the Solheim cup. Truly enjoyed your interviews and commentary.
I spent some time on the island about a decade ago and Iona is absolutely among my most favorite places. The quiet, the shockingly light water, the rocks, the whole vibe of the place … just magical.
I have been to Iona and had no idea there was a golf course there. Now I have to go back! Thank you for one of the most beautiful golf videos I've ever seen, wonderful.
Such a serene experience. Thank you for these Iona. I just wanted to share with you that my wife recently spent over a month in hospital (she is now recovering well) and during this difficult time watching your videos with the amazing scenery and your positive approach to life brought me calm and peace.
Love this so much, Iona. Grew up learning to play in the fields behind my house with friends. No course, just improvising shots and holes, hitting from ridiculous lies in mud and having a good time. It would be nice if we could enjoy the game that way more often and balance things out with a more natural approach to go with the ever more expansive, manicured tracks, which I also love.
What a joy to watch you play on a course named after "yourself", not many people can say that !! Love the fact they had to change the flags to stop the cows eating them. Just a beautiful video, thank you.
Great video, I play a free to play 9 hole course in Brittany run by us locals, no sheep and not the same views but good enough to make me pick up my clubs and get me out there again after a break of 25 years....love it...
This video made my day! A nod to tradition but a completely natural and unblemished form of golf, without the million dollar club house and crowded fairways. Stunning surroundings and moving obstacles are just part of the charm. Also it appeared that you, Iona, may have had something suspicious looking stuck to your shoe sole. Might have been mud but one of the woolly fertilizer spreaders may have gifted you instead.
I think the guys just proved that a golf swing doesn't have to be pretty to be good 😊 And you, as always, just brought me to my happy place, showing us what golf is all about ❤
Iona you look so relaxed and at peace with the World. Absolutely Beautiful. Thanks for sharing, bet you won't be complaining about any green conditions anytime soon 😅
Lovely, soothing video to enjoy. Were the greens 1 or 2 on the stimp? Loved the ricochet off the rock and searching for balls among the pebbles and sheep. We need more telly like this and less big brother.
Reminds of when my best mate and I made a 6 hole course in the field behind our houses in the 1960s. We took a push lawnmower to make the greens, used garden canes for flag sticks in holes dug with a trowel. Two clubs between us, a five iron and a putter and one ball each.
Just so entertaining Iona...thank you! This has to be very similar to what the origins of golf looked like 😎 So glad you could play on an island w/ your name...who gets to do that?
I LOVE the bay at the back of the ocean on Iona :) Had the pleasure of playing a round there myself. Took a break between the 12th and 13th and swam in the ocean. Truly a magical place.
LOVE to see golf like this - natural, unpretentious, inclusive and free. Scores don’t matter, where the camaraderie and fun of the challenge are the priority. What more could you ask for? Great feature Iona!! Cheers
We played Brora on a golf trip and this reminds me of a raw version of that course. Epic!
“Just over the sheep!” Best line I’ve ever heard on a golf video! Thanks Iona. Cheers from Charleston…
This is the best golfing video ever!!! So unpretentious and great entertainment. Well done you.
Thank you for this, Iona. And thank you for being you: completely unpretentious, not full of yourself at all. I'm thinking that you would be an absolute joy to be around. Iona, I absolutely LOVE listening to you explain what you see and feel. You make me feel like I simply must go in an attempt to have a similar experience. THANK YOU!!!
Awesome video. Sometimes we hung up on the conditions of courses and forget we are there just to have a good time with good friends!
I’ve been waiting for this featured Round on the Isle of Iona. Golf at its finest . . . Good friend, Great Scenery and Cold Beer . . . What more could an old lad wish for? . . . You are unique! The others make it about themselves, you make it about the subject, the venue. Not just honest but refreshing! God bless you! Thanks
Love this episode! Thank you for making this rare and unique episode. What a dream to join you for golf, too! ❤ I really enjoyed all the sheep 🥰
I can feel stress leaving my body just watching this….so good.
I honestly believe golf puts us in touch with nature in every way. It's a special game that brings us to special places we would never normally go. I can't imagine not having golf in my life.

Wonderful. Smiling the entire time I’m watching this
How fun is this? Playing for fun on a course that is in tune with the nature of the island. Wonderful video. Thank you Iona for sharing.
Have not been to Iona for 50 years. Great to see it has not changed. Golf on the Machair looks like a real treat. Thanks Iona.
One of my favourite places in the world but never took my clubs as I do not play golf when I am on holiday went there nearly every year on my yearly holiday to Mull and always walked all over that part and indeed all over Iona
Sadly not able to drive the long distances from the south of England and we miss it so much

Perfectly Lovely! This was a joy to watch, thank you.
Great to see Iona returning home to her island.
My favourite episode of Chasing The Red!

The way Golf is meant to be played!!! So enjoyable to watch Iona!! Thanks for another great episode!!
This was so much fun! My face hurts from smiling so much!
Been waiting for this one!! On the Road with Iona on the isle of Iona playing the Iona Golf course, amazing! Great video
Iona, never seen you smile so much. My new bucket list course. Love it.
This place is amazing. Golf in is rawest and purest form.
Iona, I enjoyed your great joy at parring the first hole. What a surreal place to play golf. Thank you. David
Iona, have only just found your channel & am so glad, its wonderful. You are so refreshing, refreshing & endearing. The Sam interview was so atmospheric & captivating. Good luck with all you do. I am now tuned in. Take care, B
Watched many of your videos Iona but I don’t think I’ve seen you smiling as much 🏌️♂️👍🏻😍
Fantastic !
Thank you for sharing these beautiful images Iona.
Chasing the Red is a worthy goal. Chasing the feeling you get from the confluence of land, sea, salt air, meandering sheep and cows, flowering fairways and good company is just sublime.
When I saw that first putt go in, I pumped my arms at my desk!! Well done Iona, on your own island no less
The most positive person - we need more like her but there really only is one Iona !!!!
Grass roots golf and a local legend who gives up his time for the love of golf, what keeps golf alive and kicking!

Terrific relaxing round of golf in a stunning location, steeped in history! Thank you for sharing this special place.
Wow. Loved it. Thank you Iona (Both you & the island).
Looks like a golf adventure.
Stunning views and spectacular natural landscape. ❤️

Even more enjoyable than chasing the red. Iona at Iona. What joy.
I spent some time on the island about a decade ago and Iona is absolutely among my most favorite places. The quiet, the shockingly light water, the rocks, the whole vibe of the place … just magical.
What a great representation of the sport, and a great example of why On the Road with Iona is one of my favorite channels.
There are no words to how much I love this.

"Just over the sheep." If I had a shilling for every time I heard that on a golf course...

A great experience. Loved this video. As you highlight, sometimes the scores don’t matter ⛳️😊
Best ever. One of my favourite places in the world, in sunshine it is unbeatable. And a flower meadow machair golf course to boot.
I think the guys just proved that a golf swing doesn't have to be pretty to be good 😊
And you, as always, just brought me to my happy place, showing us what golf is all about ❤
Iona is an amazing Island and how amazing to play golf there. Another great video ⛳️
Amazing! I visited Iona earlier this year, wish I had my sticks with me. Love the place and Mull too.
Great video Iona. Stunning scenery and golf as it was meant to be played.

Beautiful wee course looking. Didn’t even know there was a course on Iona
Love this golf course, what a lovely refreshing way to play golf in such a beautiful place 😍
What a relaxing round of golf. Love it.
Played it 3 years ago. Great experience. Couldn't finish the round as there were 12 cows in the 18th green
Love this so good you are living the dream. Those guys so lucky.
Absolutely stunning...the perfect golf for my mindset!!
Thank you, Iona. Such a beautiful place!

Yes!!!! I was begging for this
Beautiful video!
Proper golf - brilliant!
Even by Iona's illustrious standard, this is an absolutely brilliant video.
This is how golf should be played, natural, wild, in touch with nature. This made me nostalgic ❤
I LOVE the bay at the back of the ocean on Iona :) Had the pleasure of playing a round there myself. Took a break between the 12th and 13th and swam in the ocean. Truly a magical place.
