currently on the 2nd hour of listening and the revelation came upon me: all 5 of them were doomed for what happened at the red mountain. all of them. Nerevar, betrayed by his closest friends and his wife was damned to be reborn again and again and again Almalexia, living in shame for what she did to her husband driving her existence into an eternal insanity Sotha Sil, fleeing from reality, eternal desillusion, ultimately killed by the only person he remotely cared in an emotional way Vivec, constantly trying to rewrite history to show himself in a better light, constantly clinging to his two other brothers in crime for killing his champion Voryn, trapped in an eternal slumber living through his memory and dream itself by being corrupted by the heart of Lorkhan. they were all doomed that day.
The coolest thing about Dagoth Ur is that he makes you realize that the "good guys" weren't so good at all. But he wanted people to believe he was the good guy, which was equally total bullshit, yet just as conceivable. Voryn Dagoth fell to the temptation of the tools of Kagrenac just as the Tribunal later would. He became a half living, half dead demon of himself, convinced of his own righteousness and divinity. Dagoth's tragic fall cemented him in my mind as one of the best written antagonists in any video game, ever.
PrimusGladius mostly agree, though I’d add that his was less bullshit. The way I see it they were all very much similar in ambition but suffered different fates in their quest for godhood. Dagoth Ur just got the shorter end of the stick.
PrimusGladius is there a reason to apply dragonbreaks to this case? Just because we have different accounts doesn’t mean they’re all true (unless I’m missing something). Going by the most plausible story and the character of Almalexia, I’ve sided with House Dagoth.
@@Xenaisthebusiness From what I recall about the lore the battle of Red Mountain between the Chimer and the Dwemer is considered a dragonbreak because the Dwemer Tonal Architect Kagrenac used his tools on the heart of Lorkahn which caused his whole race to vanish and also for many timelines to splinter and then merge back to one. One of those threads had Voryn Dagoth as the faithful protector and another had him succumb to temptation. So I take both contradicting realities as true. Which leaves me to the conclusion that Dagoth Ur and the Tribunal are two sides of the same coin, seeking power for themselves and believing it in the best interest of their people. If Almalexia's madness and death convinced you the Tribunal were wrong, why did Dagoth Ur's madness not? This actually is hypnotic ... I danced. I danced around the fire. I danced around the fire until I got burned. Then I danced again. The Dreamer. The Dreamer awakes.
Alternate ending: in his haste, the argonian Nerevarine bard gets carried away and strikes the heart with sunder and keening in a sick beat, creating a rift to a new, funky plane of existence; the vaporwaves of oblivion on the shores of aetherius where the two are locked in a battle of sick beats and divine vocals. With each "ooh", dagoth ur falters, succumbing to the Nerevarine's hypnotic beat all the while flinging magic to the argonian to seemingly no avail.... "No recall or intervention can work in this place! There is no escape!" Dagoth repeats over and over, trying to sway the Nerevarine. He hopes to trick the Nerevarine to yield or risk trapping them both. But he is too late, the argonian has achieved chim. The vaporwaves overtake dagoth ur at last, the song ends with the argonian staring into the sun on the purple horizon as he is pulled back to nirn to receive a hero's welcome...

7. Dagoth Ur is very insistent that you understand he's a god
On the second hour you will learn that recall and intervention don't work around here.
you missed the part that is not too late for his mercy

Why does this hit so good.
Maybe remixing Dagoth Ur's somewhat bittersweet voice just works somehow.
I sometimes feel really down and go like ''I need some dagothwave in my life''. Its really strange.
Same right now for me, 'cause I have big trouble with phonecalls, and listen to this for calming.
I think uncle Sweetshare's candy is kicking in.
lmao what about n'ashi or whatever his name was that "buried" khajit
He he he ha ha ho he he ha ho
How is this song so therapeutic? Like, all of life's troubles go away when that riff starts.
That's one smooth fucking loop. Very nice!

Come and look upon the heart, Ooh Ooh
I'm a Todd, how can you kill a Todd?
I need more of these songs, memes but with so much quality and good vibes that actually works outside of the joke.

You dreamed that a tall figure with a golden mask spoke to you, but you understood not a word. He smiled, and seemed pleasant, but when he reached to touch you, it terrified you, and you tried to escape, but you couldn't move. You tried to cry out, but you couldn't make a sound. The figure kept smiling and talking, but you felt sure he was trying to cast some sort of spell on you. When you woke, you couldn't recall how the dream ended.
I want this song for my funeral.

I played morrowind for the first time this year. Now i'm a devout follower of Dagoth Ur.
His words don't sound as choppy like other songs, he has such a great voice!
The Sixth House has arisen. And so have I.
What a grand and nostalgic essence of morrowind.

Ohh! I just love Dagoth Ur (and this melody)! The way he says "There's no escape" and "I'm a god, how can you kill a God; what a grand and intoxicating innocence," you just can't avoid believing in everything he says. The best villain in all of gaming!
No recall or intervention work in this place, you must listen to 1 hour of dagothwave.
Why would anyone want to use a recall or intervention when this is playing? Such a grand and intoxicating innocence!
