Been waiting for this update. Shreeew…sure glad to got it sorted out. That fitting without nylon tape is a new one on me too. Every day is a learning experience. Glad ya got it worked out 🙌
Thank you so much, so am I!! At least it isn’t just me who didn’t know that, haha! For sure, every day is an another day to learn something new and add to the toolbox of knowledge. Thank you again boss, I really appreciate it!
Thats great you got it sorted out That machine it nice. Pretty sure that other fitting is a basic pipe thread inside the machine. As you tighten it it seals without the need of teflon
Thank you so much boss! It is a wonderful machine and I really enjoy working with it and learning about its modern features. I am used to working with older models on both big and small job sites. I now recall something about the different types of threads but it has been quite a few years since I have dealt with it so it was basically like hearing it for the first time again.
I normally don’t air arc unless I am removing welds from a previous welder. It does help having air arc in corners where a grinder can’t go and if additional clean up is needed, I go to a die grinder. I have used air arc to clear a smooth path for a back weld to clear the full penetration root weld on structural members.

"Going to the steakhouse, with my bags on, in the welding rig"
@@wesleyclark433 Nothing wrong with that!
I will say that I won’t have to take my bags inside with me anymore since I will have the rig. Much better situation this way than before.
Do you do air arc a lot. I just bought a miller 330. Without the air arc
Im thinking about getting on Non air Did you buy it locally or online?

Looks like a number 8 jic fitting and the other threads on the leads are pipe thread
Always something new to learn! I am by no means an expert in that area, so I find it very intriguing! Thank you for your comment!
