Raised in Peabody, Massachusetts, Mendy, at just 22 years old, has already experienced the depths of hopelessness and suffering that comes with alcohol addiction. With raw honesty, he shares the turning point that ignited his desire for change and led him on a path to recovery. Mendy went from being a client at Our Village Sober Community to currently being employed there. He is the head of marketing for Our Village Sober Community and the Brainstorm With Sony podcast. On top of this, Mendy is a backup counselor at Our Village. And he is a full-time social work student at TUW.

The way that I got help was I googled on my computer... "how to stop x"... and the 12 step program came up, thank God, I was not able to talk to my parents at all

You know what's so sad... throughout the story, he talked about risperdal, xanax, and adderall...
For whatever reason for mental health drugs is ok... but recreational alcohol is not...
There is a big problem with this too 💛
