After watching a Chucky/Child's Play Marathon in which I've seen every sequel and the original hundreds of times I thought about the My Buddy Doll and came to TH-cam to watch the original 1985 commercial and I laughed my Buddy I meant my Butt off and then I watched this Kid Sister commercial and the nostalgia of it all, whew it brought back soooo many good childhood memories as I had a Kid Sister, that was in like 1988, 36 years ago I'm now almost 45 years old. It's crazy so much time has elapsed, so long ago. I wish I had a time machine to become a child again. No worries, only playing, eating and having fun.
My husband JUST bid & WON the bidding war to buy me a MINT condition Kid Sister doll... I had one when I was 8yrs old & was in PERFECT condition becuz I didnt want to play with her so she wouldnt get ruined lol thats the kind of kid I was! But at age 17 I left home & my dads gf gave them to Goodwill :( I was DEVASTATED! This doll represented a VERY good time in my childhood & one of the ONLY few I had... a time when BOTH my parents were STILL together & a happy day on my bday or at least they pretended to be on that day. But this is why they mean so much to me still even now... my husband... amazing man. I cant wait she will be here this wk! Feel like a kid again! THANKS for sharing the video & the memories of my childhood!

I think that was around the time though that I began to transition to having more of an interest in girls things. I still liked things like Transformers and Hot Wheels even with the peer pressure that was already starting at that point. Maybe my wanting one now is to re-affirm my still-androgynous way of life? I just spent over $20 on a pre-owned My Buddy doll, and spent more on additional clothes for it. I need help!
I think its awesome. this is something that makes you smile. you should treat yourself to a walk down memory lane & if it's something that makes you smile then there's nothing wrong with that! I think it's pretty cool! :)

I just loved my kid sister doll I am so sad I don't have her anymore I named her Megan and pretended she was my twin she got ruined in storage I now have a new kid sister doll coming in the mail well New to me she still has the original fashions as the one in this video which is pretty cool considering she is not mint in box I'll never forget that wonderful Christmas I got my old one my parents had her sitting in a child size rocking chair I was four years old at the time and the memories I made with Megan will never be replaced I can't wait for the new Megan to come seeing the commercial again made my day and brought back priceless memories thank you
