I know people like him better with Li Na but i dont. With her they have worked together for so long that everything they do becomes habit. Going on dinner dates also does mean mean he has feelings for her and doesnt mean they are dating. Even Li NA knows he likes Dai XI like in the scene when she tells him Dai Xi and her boyfriend broke up and you can tell she was watching his reaction. Like one comment mentioned he shows he cares by his eyes and worrying about Da XI and always sticking up for her even when hes pissed at her.
I know they are good together.... They compliment and complete each other however I never saw Lou bin taking Dai xi on dinner dates. With Li naa she is reliable and competent. Lou bin often takes Li naa on date dinners. Li naa practically walks in Lou bins house as if it belongs to her which Lou bin never objects... Hence I sometime feel like he has feelings for her.. I maybe wrong...
I personally feel that we have had at least two scenes that tell us a lot more about his growing feeling towards Dai Xi and this is one of them. Not tears, not a hug nor a kiss is as strong as the expression on his face when she expresses her fear that she will no longer be able to work with him. It is that fear that has driven her to come through the rain to talk with him. Ditto for his response and the look on his face. However, he does ask her is she has had dinner. She says, "Yes." And so there is no dinner date. Then there is the scene where he calls her 100 times and is so concerned that he hits the panic button and goes to look for her. He finally finds her and then reprimands her. When he leaves he immediately comes back and knocks on the door and scolds her when she immediately opens the door.-I think this happens three times. I personally believe that he makes it a point NOT to ask Dai Xi on a dinner date. He does admire her and I think he knows that if he is not already a little bit in love with her, it could very quickly turn into love, and so he cannot help but let us know that he cares deeply for her (the 100 phone call business and his frantic concern) lets us know that. But, at this point, he chooses not to take it further than a mentor/mentee relationship. The script writers have created a character with great integrity, a very rare commodity. I forgot that in this scene he does ask her if she wants dinner and she says that she has already eaten.
