    Words can not express how hot that deck is in full sun!!!! Listen to her, wear some kind of shoes.
    Also, thanks for the tip about breakfast and lunch in the dinning rooms. Traveling with your 90 and 83 year old parents is much like traveling with children!!! Saved us by being able to avoid the Cabana crowds!

      Oh yes- much easier than cabanas. Also, you are lucky! They have lived a long time😃

      how was your cruise ??

  • @ipsusana
    @ipsusana 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    i heard the main dinning room gets full quite early on that first day lunch, but we'll definitely try. first time for my son to get on a cruise, and first time disney experience, i'm really looking forward to it (if i could finally book it, i'm waiting to discuss with my husband and he's not big on vacationing!!)

    • @DisneyCruisers
      @DisneyCruisers  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do it, you will NOT regret it! If you book online you can hold your room reservation without placing a deposit for 3 days. So maybe you could book it, and during that three days period do all you can to convince him :)

    • @ipsusana
      @ipsusana 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just booked it this morning. Their page doesn't work this morning so I thought it's a sign I shouldn't book, but I could go on the phone to book, so crisis is behind me. Thanks for the tips on 3 days hold, but since I got the ok from my husband, I'm just booking it. I told him we could get every pennies refunded before we made the final payment anyway, so why not? I'm so excited!! I even called them to find out if I am really a silver Castaway Club member, since I sailed the Magic way back then, apparently it was April 1999!!! I cannot believe I will finally be back on the same ship after 20 years!!!

    I’m addicted to all this info! 🤓 About how much time do we have between port arrival time and boarding the ship? Exactly what is the process once we get there and what are must-haves when we board? Thanks again for filling my brain w so much useful info!!! 🤯🤗

    Should you or do you tip to the main dining room servers when it’s breakfast or dinner (I mean like the people that are not your normal servers).

    • @DisneyCruisers
      @DisneyCruisers  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No. The servers all have different jobs each day. Your servers at night at dinner may have breakfast duty one day, then lunch duty another, then lunch duty on castaway the next day. The tip you give them that is the standard tip is meant to cover them working in those places for you too.... even if you dont see them there and have different servers for breakfast and lunch. Hope that made sense...

    Is there a live theater show on embarkation day after the sail away party?

    • @DisneyCruisers
      @DisneyCruisers  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes just like every other night :) The evening is like a normal one (dinner and show). Disney gets started with the magic right away and I love it! Great question!!

  • @MzDivaShy
    @MzDivaShy 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Great video 👍🏽 Do you think will need a stroller for out 2 year old?

    • @DisneyCruisers
      @DisneyCruisers  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you take a stroller I would say to take an umbrella stroller. It really depends on how much your child can handle walking, and how long you want to carry them for. It would be like staying in a hotel all day. Would you use one in a hotel? If I were going with my 2 year old on a cruise tomorrow I would bring an umbrella stroller.. but then prob not use it that much.

      Disney Cruisers Thank you I’m thinking not so much on the ship but definitely at the ports. Will also be in Miami for 2 days b4 & after the cruise so I’ll bring it to be on the safe side.

    Question. If you go to eat in a dining room for breakfast or lunch do you need to tip the server? Or is that included in your daily tips?

    • @DisneyCruisers
      @DisneyCruisers  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You do not tip.. its included in your other tips. 👍🏻👍🏻

  • @Desireesnotes

    How do we find out our port arrivals time? Can we find out through the online check in on the Disney cruise website? I didn’t know about this last time and I feel like we wasted a whole day just waiting for hours before we could board. I don’t want to make the same mistake!

    • @DisneyCruisers
      @DisneyCruisers  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You select it when you do your online check in. Do your online check in at midnight on your booking day. The port arrival time screen will come after you enter your important info like passport and id numbers. When on the page select the earliest time that is still available. Being a repeat cruiser you will have earlier options since you check in before first time cruisers do 👍🏻

    Hey do you get to enjoy all the shows on pirate night if you sit 2nd seating?

    • @DisneyCruisers
      @DisneyCruisers  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You do, but pay attention to the navigator to see when the pirate festivities are! Make sure you are out of your dinner in time. But, you should def have enough time!!

  • @faithmoore3243

    If they ask you to go to main cabanas could you refuse and state you prefer the main dining room? What is open on the ship if I do not wish to attend the sail away party?

    • @DisneyCruisers
      @DisneyCruisers  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Possibly but they usually say that when one is full. They may just ask you to wait a little bit. And yes if you don’t go to the sail away party there are still lots of things to do on the ship 😃 Also, the sail away party is only like twenty minutes long. If you don’t want to go, however, I would recommend standing at the front of the ship on top deck as you pull out to sea 😍

    hiee almost cruise time for me Im super excited and i wanted to know what happens when its Time to pay at the end and its like 5,000 and you don't have 5,000 and can't pay when its time to leave the boat. what happens?? do you get sent a bill at home or are you banded foreverrr !

    • @DisneyCruisers
      @DisneyCruisers  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      We wonder about this all of the time. You either give them a credit card on file or pay cash. I am guessing they are able to see your credit card limit and therefore will decline purchases at a certain point. When you pay with cash you have to hand them $300 at a time. :)

    Miami Port is 100 times better than Port Canaveral (no offence intended), is: more organize, neater, flows better, feel much less crowed, the luggage pick up is in a band like at the airport (rather than on top of the others on a table), entrance is separated from exit from the boat, there is more place to seat, more spots for character greet at the entrance, etc.
    Last time we arrived on time to Port Canaveral (We had the earliest entrance) and they were running a bit late and they make us wait in the parking all hot and sticky, smooched between the wall and the parked cars, the mothers with strollers were loosing it because they didn't fit!!!... Agrrrrrr!, It was a mess, I don't mind at all a few minutes behind, first because it was just about 10', but let me seat inside with the AC!!... I would wait 20, just to seat inside!... Don't get me wrong, I would do it all over again and again (monthly if I could), and I will come from Port Canaveral when the price is right, but for the same price/trip I would choose Miami over Port Canaveral every time.
    Also, in the Fantasy at Port Canaveral (this didn't happened at the Magic from Miami) the parents that didn't pre-register the children were like on the middle and were making it very difficult for everyone else to go around, unlike Miami that have a teller (like were you register on arrival) to do that.
    And taking your previous advice, on January we are taking the late dinner (settled) to do dine and dash!
    PS: Your elevator tutorial ROCKS!

    • @DisneyCruisers
      @DisneyCruisers  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I do think that the Miami port flows much better and is much more comfortable to be in, but it lacks Disney characteristics. And at Miami the picture place for meeting characters is much nicer. Maybe I should do a video telling everyone to preregister their children! I dont ever understand why people dont do that. It pops up when you check in online, it isnt hard to miss, and it is super convenient.

    • @erikaa-h2666
      @erikaa-h2666 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DisneyCruisers 100% agreed, I registered them the first time because the registration process reflects "incomplete"until you register the children in your party for the club, its truly hard to missed, but the truth is that Disney should do a better effort to not be in the middle of the way while registering at the port. They should just pushed back to a corner and put a big sign (The guy that take your passport also could tell you: "Register your kids there" - while pointing on that direction with 2 fingers-), because lets be honest, doing the children's registration process functional isn't rocket science and as it is (in Port Canaveral) kind of a mess.

      @@DisneyCruisers Also, I saw like you and the girls use the rash guards for the pool (probably because as me, you go on the cold season LOL), check this store in Etsy: AthletikaGirl, Not particularly cheap, but just made the cutest rash guards for me and soon will do matching for my 7yo girl that love to match. I got Ursula, mickey and 101 Dalmatians!!... So if you happen to be on the cruise and see a "girl" that look way to old for wearing that rash guard Its ME! LOL :)
