It's great that there's a documentary and a painting DVD showing his technique, even though he's retired his work is well documented. I have his large artbook and the reproduction is amazing, unfortunately he didn't get any money because the publisher went under!
On a podcast earlier on I commented, Jason you gotta get Mike Butkus on the podcast. So he gets the man himself...DREW STRUZAN! Showed me up, lol! I've been lucky enough to attend some of Drew's Q&A lectures in California when I lived there. Couldn't meet a nicer person and for an icon for so many that was really cool to know he is so down to earth. I need to get over to that gallery, nothing like standing in front one of Drew's illustrations. Good work Jason and congrats on the new family member!
He doesn't know it, or at least does not think himself it, but he truly is just as cool as all the badasses he has painted in those movie posters, if not at least, cooler. Im on a Struzan-streak, awesome you got an interview with him that we can all indulge ourselves with! Thank you!

Drew's art is the most beautiful art in the world. It's perfect. I've been doing art my whole life, but when I look at a Drew Struzan piece I always stop and marvel at the details and say to myself "How?" I wish there was a video that showed his entire process from start to finish. Hugh Fleming is the only other one who's able to do that style well, but I can't find anything about Hugh on TH-cam.
Me and a friend went to the Galactic Gallery about a month ago. Seeing Drew's original art is so awe-inspiring. They had 2 of my absolute favorites there too: Adventures in Babysitting & Masters of the Universe. If you are able to get to Flower Mound and are a Drew fan you should go and see it.

That was the one with DW, he released a new bigger and more in depth version of Oeuvre. He definitely got money from that.

Artist using computers is good ,because studios would get thousands of ideas to choose from . Then it's way easy after that.
