Unfortunately that's where we find ourselves! Our constitution needs a serious review! We can't have one man as in the president of the state making decisions for the whole nation! It's unacceptable!

People have to be arrested though most were not in support of this project there's no reason why this project should have stalled, after all the money that has gone into the project no one have explained to us why it stalled & why there have done basically nothing. Where are all the monies

The National Cathedral would make more money through donations, offerings, and tithes than any Ghana government institution due to bribery and corruption in every fabric of government operations. All the opposition from the NDC is pure jealousy and politics.
They should build the cathedral if they have private investment to complete it. When they build the cathedral and they begin making money, all monies borrowed from the Ghana government should be paid back.

No reasonable youth that has Ghana at heart will ever support that project. We all love God but I do not think the God we serve will like us to build him a house when women still give birth on bare floor, no jobs for citizens and goods roads for transportation etc

Our problem in Africa is the silly belief that the country belongs to the president during his tenure.
African presidents behave as though the country automatically belongs to them the moment they ascend to the presidency.
That has been our problem hence our sorry state as a continent.
Presidents wants to be hailed for mediocre leadership and projects as low as construction of public toilets and bathrooms.
But the larger blame is to the citizens that are so shallow that in their poverty and miserable state they still find a way to jubilate and make merry when they see these politicians who are responsible for our state.
It’s been over 60 years we commissioned the akosombo dam and it remains the main source of electricity bui dam was a wasted investment.
Countries are commissioning mega generational projects we are here seeking glorification over petty bloated projects.
    It really hurts

God bless you for this apt observation. Exactly how I feel. I’m even speechless.

Enough with your politics. Akufo-Addo’s government has done far more infrastructure projects than any government since Nkrumah.
Mahama stole the $200 million Saglemi Housing fund and left Ghana with 1,500 uncompleted units instead of the fully funded 5,000 units.

@zerosumgame3722 If you don’t have any intelligent comment to make on someone’s opinion just read and pass.
Did you see Akufo Addo or Mahama in my statement?
You definitely belong to those group of citizens who just follow political parties as though they are a football team so please continue your path.
I skipped my blood brothers wedding because of Akufo Addo’s first inauguration so don’t think everyone one in Ghana who has his reservations is NDC ok.

@@11banku all this rant without a single credible rebuttal to my response. It’s important to discuss the political parties responsible for infrastructure development in Ghana. Otherwise, why are you even commenting?

@@11banku by the way building very much needed toilets in villages and towns in Ghana would significantly reduce diseases related to e-coli. Do you know how much African governments spend on medical treatment for related sicknesses? I recall Bawumia mentioning building toilets in Ghana and he was laughed at. Yet gullible Ghanaians hail environmental and fiscal disaster projects like connecting Kumasi to the ocean with a canal by NKB.
