Is radiotherapy a durable career because cancer care is changing and what if it gets cancelled out and replaced with something else

Cancer care is changing but so is radiotherapy. It’s evolving so much. I was worried about the same thing before starting but unless they find a cure for ALL cancers, there will always be a place for radiotherapy. Personally I wouldn’t encourage to stay working as a radiotherapist for a long time anyway due to manual handling and the demands of the job

Thank you for contacting Health Careers Anu. The minimum academic entry requirements for degree courses in physiotherapy are usually 5 GCSEs grades 9-4/A -C (including maths and English) and 2-3 A Levels including biology, or equivalent qualifications. In reality, most universities require 3 A levels or equivalent but it’s important to check entry requirements with individual universities, as they vary. Best wishes, Health Careers Team.
