With no travel bubbles it seems that flights out are still few and far between! Thank you, we should have more airports and walking tours out soon!

It was certainly a bit of a shock! Even though I knew not many flights would be departing, feeling the empty space was a little bit haunting.

During most of the pandemic, everything was pretty much shut at the international terminal because very few people were flying overseas and those who came to NZ were sent straight into Quarantine. The shops at the Domestic Terminal remained open, and so did the shops at other airports around the country because their domestic and international terminals were in the same building. However in Auckland the domestic and international terminals are separate buildings. They all began to reopen in 2022 when quarantine ended and tourists were allowed to come back.

I've been enjoying these! Just a few quick suggestions:
    1) Can you please post a brief something about yourself on your "About" page? It would help provide some context for these travel videos. For example, we live in NZ but periodically visit family in Italy (Catania) so we're curious if you're in a similar situation.
    2) Can you please include the full date of each video in either the description or the subtitles? With COVID restrictions and the flooding in Catania, some of these areas are in a state of flux, and knowing the dates helps provide some additional context. It also ensures that we can watch the videos in the order in which they are filmed (rather than published). For example, right now we're not sure if you're moving back and forth between Catania and Naples, or if you were in Catania first, and then Naples later (or vice versa) but chose to publish the videos in a different order.
    3) Although your camera work and the picture is crisp, smooth, and level, the low frame rate (24 Hz) makes it hard to watch your videos on larger screens, especially when you're panning; there's just too much stutter! Is there any way you can increase the frame rate (to 48 or higher), even if it means dropping from 4K to 2.7K? What camera are you using? Have you tried experimenting with different frame rates?
Again, I really like what you're doing! I'm interested in seeing where you go next! :)

Hey Tripecac! Thank you so much for such thoughtful comments and feedback of the videos!
I've updated the about page, and added in the filming date to the latest videos I'm uploading. I'll go back through and add the filming date to the video information as I can.
In terms of our story, I'm a kiwi and my partner is a Spaniard. Both of us live in Catania, and work for a dance company here. We travel a lot for work, so we are often in and out. The video of Catania after the rain was taken the day after our return from Napoli, before we had a chance to release the other videos.
Soon we will also be releasing some videos of the gorgeous theatres we have been performing in.
Hopefully you'll notice in our new videos that we upgraded our gimbal. Im shooting just using an iPhone 12 Pro with filmicpro and the OM5 Gimbal. This is mainly because we are traveling very light on work trips, so have very limited space. With the new gimbal we should have sorted out some of the stutter that was coming from the messed up motor.
For now a lot of our next videos have already been recorded, so I'll play around with the frame rate in the future! Thanks again for the tips and for your support!

@@WalkingHistories Awesome, thanks for the info!!! It would nice to talk further about Catania and the techy stuff some time! Not sure if TH-cam comments are the best place for that, though! I'll try sending a email. :)

@@WalkingHistories Hi! I found a way to get these videos to play relatively well on my TV; I set the "Motion Smoothing" on the TV to the max. This interpolates frames, reducing the stutter when panning. There are a few weird artifacts, but they're infrequent, and the overall "feel" of the videos is much better. So if anyone else is having trouble w/ 24 fps on their TV, you could suggest "Motion Smoothing". Hopefully if you can use a higher frame rate on later views, we won't need to tweak anything on our TVs.
In the meantime, I'm curious if your editing software allows you to perform interpolation/smoothing like this. Are you doing all yoru editing in Filmic Pro, or other software?
