Thanks again Gail. I was going through your tips and tricks last week and low and behold this specific site was recommended to me, because I’m having trouble with my lower looper in my serger. Yep, went through everything many, many times. Now it’s a matter of getting some ballpoints at the store. Shopping, me oh my. Tough job but eh someone has to do it!
@@GailPatriceDesign Hi Gail, my lower looper won’t engage with the other threads. I have re-threaded many times, changed the thread, changed needles, flossed all the tension disks, checked the tensions. The funny thing is that when I make a test to see if all is working together, they are all OK. As soon as I add a piece of material, there goes the lower looper… one thing that was recommended (which I didn’t do) was for me to try using ball point needles. I’ll need to go to an actual City near me. Our local town store has been waiting for about 9 mos. for some. Thanks again for your videos. They are a life saver and a reminder.
Question regarding serger needles. I was given a Singer serger 14U46B, that was made in the 80's. Are there needles that are made now that would be compatible with this machine? Pittsburgh, PA
Hi Rosalie, I've never seen the 14U46B Singer serger before, but here's a link to a source for purchasing needles that are compatible: sewingsupplywarehouse.com/14u46b.html. Would be curious to know how well that model works, so stay in touch and thanks for watching Serger Tip Clips!
