Hey Ryan and Selena. I found your channel/podcast recently when my wife finally could not take my anger anymore and separated from me. This podcast about anger was one of the best I have heard so far. I see so many similarities in my life with what you described. She is now in that cold phase of anger towards me for the 16 years of mood swings and controlling nature she put up with from me...and was very gracious about, until now. God has broken me through this and is remaking me, but she doesn’t see it or care at this point. I would ask for yours and all the Fierce family’s prayers. Thanks for doing what you are doing. I am one of many lives you have impacted with your faith. Keep it up.

Praying for your marriage Ryan that God would soften your wife’s heart back towards yours. Just be patient with her and kind and show her unconditional love. What she needs most to know is that you have really changed. Her heart I’m sure has become cold as she has been hurt so much over the years. I pray for you marriage to be restored. I went through a kind of similar situation with my husband awhile back. I was very angry with him for all the years he was harsh and cold with me and just plain mean. It wasn’t everyday but it was a lot of the time. And finally I just snapped and I even told him I won’t forgive him for what he has done to me. Even though he was very sorry and trying to change. After awhile though I saw how that anger and bitterness was destroying me by not forgiving my husband. I asked God to help me forgive my husband and move on from my bitterness towards him and his treatment of me. We really needed a break through as the last year was so hard for our marriage. Then one day a random couple from church invited me to their marriage bible study. I told Jeremy let’s go as I needed someone to help us and me to move on. God used that group to really show me how I needed to forgive and after a few weeks of going God was convicting my heart none stop to really forgive my husband. Every message or post I read was about forgiving. God was really working in me. So after awhile I told my husband I forgave him and asked him to forgive me for not forgiving as Christ forgave me. And since then our marriage has been great. God really healed my heart after I just took that step to forgive. So I pray the same for your wife and I pray too that you are really changed. As long as your wife stood with you for 16 years I pray you will do the same for her as you wait for her to come back to you.

I need that same prayer! I’m totally exhausted by my Husband’s controlling and mean ways! I’m starting to have that cold anger because I don’t know how to handle the verbal abuse.

@@MariaWallaceBrandywinemdhomes1 you’re not alone! I feel the same way with my husband. Anger outburst that has him screaming to my face & has broken my phone. I’ve told him many times it’s ok to be angry but do not let your anger control you or hurt others. He doesn’t understand! The worst words come out of his mouth when angry.

Whoa Selena…when you were describing your frustration at yourself for blowing up I felt like you were talking about me! Thank you for sharing the book suggestion. I get it from my father who tends to blow up and then the next second “all is well” without resolution. I tend to be the same way.

I’m really upset with my husband this past year. His anger has become so bad my other child was taken by his dad because of my husbands explosive anger and impatience. If you don’t sit and watch hours of self help videos like we do as women then you don’t want to change. You choose to be abusive, that’s his case

Being upset isn’t going to change anything.
Figure out a way to position him in front of something healing. Christian Healing Ministries in Jacksonville, for example. Try to “Journey to Healing” retreat as a couple. And if he doesn’t come, and only you go, you’ll come back better able to love and “deal” with him.

I enjoy your videos so much!
I've been through some of your other topics before and I can't seem to find anything about spouses on different shifts. So for example, a husband who works night shift while the mom stays at home, and how that can have an effect on the marriage. How running on completely separate clocks in a marriage can be challenging, especially with kids. And how can some of us going through those trenches still keep with prayer with their spouse and family bible time, getting help around the house physically and emotinally, and basically just keeping sane while trying to manage all these things as a stay at home mama.
I find it very difficult to have consistency when I feel like I'm juggling all the day to day tasks on my own. Do you have any helpful tips or insights for this?
Thanks so much for your hard work and dedication and have a blessed week. 😊

When it comes to being angry I think that's where we have to remind ourselves as believers that Christ when he was on the cross he said for father forgive them for they know not what they do and as he is so are we in this world so that we might have boldness in the day of judgment turning the other cheek Only comes by recognizing that Jesus is the author and the finisher of our Faith . Bless you guys so glad I found this podcast 🙌
