You do know this hospital collapsed 3 months after it opened, right? Lot of people injured and a few died. Just because you see a lot of people doing things quickly, doesn't mean they're doing things right - or building things to last.

This is what can be done when people work together to get something done. No bullshit, no bureaucratic delays, no slacking, no tries to claim credit or gain personal benefit. This is just people working together for a single goal. Around the world, you see this kind of coordinated effort after disasters like earthquakes, and then all the local people work together to try to dig out any survivors. This is the same sort of thing, except that these are not just well-meaning neighbors, but organized engineers and construction crews sent by the government. If your saying it’s because of “construction codes” you’ll be suprized to find how many corners I’ve seen cut because of shit being dragged out so long that stuff is either forgotten to do or just missed all together and most new construction houses I’ve noticed have less issues because they are thrown up in 5x the speed they used to be.

Where I live some construction is finished super fast and othe times it seems like nothing is going on, there is a stretch of road that got resurfaced by my house and that took only two days for about a 2 mile stretch of road and by my work they took 6 months for resurfacing 3 miles. I wish the guys from the first job did the one by my work too, lol.

This build was epic in every way. The fact that all of that was brought together and the endless hours and hurdles they overcame. You would never see anything like that here in the United States. I’m proud to live here as a disabled veteran and small business owner but I’m truly ashamed too. This country is full of lazy, selfish, and self absorbs people that do nothing but complain about working and rely on the government for handouts. With all the power, knowledge, and education we have you’d think this type of project would be simple for us but it would never clear permitting unfortunately. If it did project manager would never be able to hire enough people to facilitate this happening.
The incredible thing was how they got so much material to build those building so fast. Not many people just have all that building material just laying around.

Those buildings are definitely not going to last a hundred years. It's just a temporary building. But back then all hospitals were overwhelmed, many people been turned away. Such hospitals, despite their building quality save many lives.

More than engineering, whoever was managing this project must be one of the best in the world. It's insane to coordinate all the work/resource/teams 24 hours a day, and being this is an emergency, many of them probably didn't work together before.
You should see Japan during evening nights when they do maintenance on railways. 1000 workers under 6 hours all heavily coordinated. It’s like ants on speed.

A good aspect to point out is the introduction of prefab walls and flooring systems. This means the walls and floors were built in a facility somewhere else, and then shipped on site. They simply assembled them together on site. Prefab is becoming more common and cuts building time significantly. They probably built the walls a long time ago

I thought that they use premade materials for the building itself and the foundation which is concrete can take only 18 hours to dry I think.

Where I live some construction is finished super fast and othe times it seems like nothing is going on, there is a stretch of road that got resurfaced by my house and that took only two days for about a 2 mile stretch of road and by my work they took 6 months for resurfacing 3 miles. I wish the guys from the first job did the one by my work too, lol.

This build was epic in every way. The fact that all of that was brought together and the endless hours and hurdles they overcame. You would never see anything like that here in the United States. I’m proud to live here as a disabled veteran and small business owner but I’m truly ashamed too. With all the power, knowledge, and education we have you’d think this type of project would be simple for us but it would never clear permitting unfortunately. If it did project manager would never be able to hire enough people to facilitate this happening.

Those buildings are definitely not going to last a hundred years. It's just a temporary building. But back then all hospitals were overwhelmed, many people been turned away. Such hospitals, despite their building quality save many lives.

More than engineering, whoever was managing this project must be one of the best in the world. It's insane to coordinate all the work/resource/teams 24 hours a day, and being this is an emergency, many of them probably didn't work together before.
You should see Japan during evening nights when they do maintenance on railways. 1000 workers under 6 hours all heavily coordinated. It’s like ants on speed.

A good aspect to point out is the introduction of prefab walls and flooring systems. This means the walls and floors were built in a facility somewhere else, and then shipped on site. They simply assembled them together on site. Prefab is becoming more common and cuts building time significantly. They probably built the walls a long time ago
