This is what can be done when people work together to get something done. No bullshit, no bureaucratic delays, no slacking, no tries to claim credit or gain personal benefit. This is just people working together for a single goal. This is the same sort of thing, except that these are not just well-meaning neighbors, but organized engineers and construction crews sent by the government. If your saying it’s because of “construction codes” you’ll be suprized to find how many corners I’ve seen cut because of shit being dragged out so long that stuff is either forgotten to do or just missed all together and most new construction houses I’ve noticed have less issues because they are thrown up in 5x the speed they used to be.

For Building things like these ,in INDIA it would take total 20 years,10 years for promises given by politician, and another 10 years for construction.
In fact, it took 10 days to build two hospitals in China. One is called "Fire God Mountain" and the other called "Thunder God" Mountain.

More than engineering, whoever was managing this project must be one of the best in the world. It's insane to coordinate all the work/resource/teams 24 hours a day, and being this is an emergency, many of them probably didn't work together before.
You should see Japan during evening nights when they do maintenance on railways. 1000 workers under 6 hours all heavily coordinated. It’s like ants on speed.

This build was epic in every way. The fact that all of that was brought together and the endless hours and hurdles they overcame. You would never see anything like that here in the United States. I’m proud to live here as a disabled veteran and small business owner but I’m truly ashamed too. This country is full of lazy, selfish, and self absorbs people that do nothing but complain about working and rely on the government for handouts. With all the power, knowledge, and education we have you’d think this type of project would be simple for us but it would never clear permitting unfortunately. If it did project manager would never be able to hire enough people to facilitate this happening.

Another amazing fact is that this happened during Chinese New Year... the Chinese equivalent of the Christmas/New Year period where most people take leave. So many people sacrificed their holidays to ensure their fellow countrymen had somewhere to rest and recover.
This actually might only be possible in China. Considering that it wasn't just the government and workers that came together to build it, it was the whole nation, including the businesses and companies. Which is something you won't see.
I'm Chinese,i have to say that you just ignore the most important element,CCP,Communist Party of China,without its lead,there is no strength to organize all the workers,engineers,designers,and engineering companies,all the fields in my country are organized by CCP.Once order is given,the whole country's strength is coming out instantly,so this huge and modern hospital constructed injust 10 days.
