Fun fact, the original Jurassic Park has the least amount of dinosaur screen time out of all the movies in the franchise, only 15 minutes of it, but every time they are on the screen it's incredible and better than the dinosaurs in the other movies. Quality over quantity.

I think I saw the movie about 11 times in theatres. I've always loved this series. Can't wait for the new one.

They liked it but I don't know if the experience was the same for them. There's something about being a dinosaur obsessed 13 year old seeing that movie for the first time that's special. I don't know why, but even though they're rendered in more detail now, the old CGI T-rex feels like it has weight and volume to it and isn't just floating around.
It’s to do with both the direction and the overuse of CGI in the new films. The originals knew how to balance CGI and animatronics to achieve an almost perfect realisation. New films just use CGI for everything and it makes them looks so much worse. A similar thing is noticeable with The Hobbit films compared to the original LOTR films that looked so much better
The difference in quality and tension between the Jurassic Park scenes and the Jurassic World scenes is staggering. I will never understand why the writers and directors of the Jurassic World movies felt like they had to dumb down the material to the degree they did.

jurassic park used to be thrillers. now its just its a cgi nightmare mixed with some good acting. idk maybe im biased but i loved the horror elements the original had. it really made you feel something. terror, which is what you should feel when the characters on screen are facing something beyond their comprehension, is just not the same in JW. imho
I loved that scene where they reunite the two parent Rexes with the baby T-Rex... so cute! The whine-noises coming from the baby T-Rex... they make me want to be one of the parents in order to comfort it! Good job, Malcolm and company.
The Jurassic World saga has its problems, but you have to admit it does have alot of great scenes. a T-Rex: The King of The Dinosaurs meeting a Lion: The King of The Beasts is something we've been wanting to see for a long time.
Compare the special effects of Jurassic Park and Jurassic World and you'll see it barely changes. 1993 and 2018. Jurassic Park is really badass with its amazing effects for the time! ❤️

Indominus is ridiculously strong, survived way more crap than it logically coulda, guess its skin is ade out of 1000mm composite armor with explosive reactive plates and electric countermeasures against ATGMs to be able to withstand all that sh*t. Others either run or were forced to confront Rexy as they didn't have any other choice, but that Lion was a badass he didn't even backed down or got scared at the face of certain death.
14:03; That has always been my favorite part of the Jurassic World series, two of my favorite animals coming face-to-face, and roaring at each other. The Lion is the symbol of Courage and Leadership, he showed no fear of the T-Rex and stood his ground.
When the VHS for the original JP came out, my sister and I must have watched it a million times! LOL All these other JP movies are fun to watch, but they have never been able to capture the awe of the very first one.
I love the scene where the Rex chases Ian! It was shot beautifully. The lighting is awesome and eerie , no background music needed, you see the whole Rex’s body next to Alan and Ian and it makes you realise how big of an animal she really is! The jeep chase is another great one, I always like to remind myself how this was Ellie’s first introduction to Rexy. I would’ve probably screamed as loud as her if a dinoasaur that size was catching up to my Jeep😂
Not to mention, Laura Dern who portrayed Ellie did a fantastic job of showing some genuine fear and terror in herself as the T-Rex get real close, as if it seemed real.

The difference in quality and tension between the Jurassic Park scenes and the Jurassic World scenes is staggering. I will never understand why the writers and directors of the Jurassic World movies felt like they had to dumb down the material to the degree they did.

jurassic park used to be thrillers. now its just its a cgi nightmare mixed with some good acting. idk maybe im biased but i loved the horror elements the original had. it really made you feel something. terror, which is what you should feel when the characters on screen are facing something beyond their comprehension, is just not the same in JW. imho

Compare the special effects of Jurassic Park and Jurassic World and you'll see it barely changes. 1993 and 2018. Jurassic Park is really badass with its amazing effects for the time! ❤️
It’s better in the original Jurassic Parks imo because they used a combination of CGI and animatronics, rather than just CGI (which always looks like CGI imo)

Indominus is ridiculously strong, survived way more crap than it logically coulda, guess its skin is ade out of 1000mm composite armor with explosive reactive plates and electric countermeasures against ATGMs to be able to withstand all that sh*t. It's also supported by two Royce-Royce Trent turbojet engines to help support the weight on its legs. lmfao

When the VHS for the original JP came out, my sister and I must have watched it a million times! LOL All these other JP movies are fun to watch, but they have never been able to capture the awe of the very first one.

I love the scene where the Rex chases Ian! It was shot beautifully. The lighting is awesome and eerie , no background music needed, you see the whole Rex’s body next to Alan and Ian and it makes you realise how big of an animal she really is! The jeep chase is another great one, I always like to remind myself how this was Ellie’s first introduction to Rexy. I would’ve probably screamed as loud as her if a dinoasaur that size was catching up to my Jeep😂
