Praise Jesus. Wow Grace, great testimony. The last time I seen you was at your mums house when Pete was up from Tasmania. I was hit hard by the devil after praying for the guy next door to your mum. They cursed me bad and the next few days that followed were full of intense spiritual warfare. I learnt a lot from that and so much more with deliverance and healings. The Lord definitely has His hand on your life.

Please don't believe that lie! Get plugged into a church, that's the first step to opening up opportunities with others of the same faith😊 Pray to God about it as well, pray because He hears us, and believe your prayers as if they've already come to be. God bless!

It's a hard position to be in! But I'd say just be intentional about putting yourself in places where you can meet other Christians. Are you going to a church at the moment?
Thank you Grace for your testimony. It's amazing how God brought you to Him and how He's been working in your heart and changing you life. I'm curious : would you say that you got saved when Jesus met you in your car after you broke up with your ex boyfriend, or else you were already saved when you were a child but you totally fell away ? As you said during your childhood you were aware about God and all, but you say that you didn't truly have a relationship with Him so in my understanding you were then not saved yet ? Or you were saved but didn't have a relationship with Him ? Is that possible ? I don't know if you'll read me but i'll try. Have a good day !
Hey Simon! I'd say I was saved when I was younger for sure, especially because I knew God and prayed when I was a child. It was once I got towards the end of highschool where I had a choice to keep following God and growing my relationship or indulge in sin. Obviously I chose the second so I'd say it was over a year or two where I was lukewarm, before completely falling away from faith. I was (and am) so undeserving of His mercy and grace, yet God in His goodness kept pursuing me and now I've been able to develop the most beautiful and personal relationship with God (and have a long way to go too!)
Okay. Last question... During your period of backslidding, you didn't totally forget about God, from what i understood. But what was your mindset towards Him ? Were you feeling like you were on a wrong track and that you would eventually come back, or you didn't care at all and you just wanted to live your life the way you wanted and have nothing to do with God anymore ? Did you feel like you shoul repent but didn't listen to your conscience, or you didn't care ? Sorry I don't want to be intrusive but I have a similar journey than yours, but in my case I feel like I rebelled willfully too much against God and that I'm unforgivable. I've been trying to come back because after those 5 years of living in sins I've finally realised that all those wordly pleasures are actually totally empty, totally pointless and that I REALLY need God. But i feel like it's too late, i feel totally disconnected from Him. So I wanted to compare my case to others who also backslid...

And no worries at all, more than happy to share any parts of my story that would help others :) I didn't forget about God, but I certainly did shut out the conviction of the Holy Spirit time and time again. For me it was sexual sin that made me fall away most quickly, and I would often repent but then go and do the same thing. Over the course of a year or so I'd say I felt more of a tug from the Holy Spirit to stop, and from that point onwards His voice got quieter and I had no interest in listening to it. I am very thankful I had my foundation of faith from my childhood because I knew about God's forgiveness and love, but I also knew it meant repenting from my old lifestyle which I wasn't willing to do. In all honestly, if it wasn't for the absolute mercy of God and Him pursuing me I don't think I would have turned back to him for a long time. But thankful he used that breakup to pull away the biggest barrier for me coming home.
I thought I was too far away to ever come home too, and I was a wicked sinner, as we all are, but that's why we are saved by grace instead of our works. Neither you nor I are worthy, but only through Jesus do we have forgiveness of our sins. Never believe the lie that you are too far to come home or to have your sins forgiven. ❤️ Jesus paid for them at all the cross and we get to partner with Him but turning from our sins and choosing to follow Him
