Have a Nice Death is a hand-drawn 2D Action Rogue-Lite where you play as Death, Founder and CEO of Death Incorporated-a sprawling corporate empire that processes souls for the afterlife-who currently finds himself teetering on the edge of burnout. His top executives, the Sorrows, have been running rampant on Earth’s surface, blatantly ignoring company protocols, leaving him buried in an underworld-sized mountain of paperwork. Now, in order to regain control of his company and soul-ply chain, as well as secure a much-needed vacation, he will need to traverse the various departments of Death Incorporated and remind his unruly subordinates who’s boss.

When Life Gives You Curses - Taking more power for yourself is a controversial move in Death Incorporated’s company culture. The Uncle Sam poster with death on it at 1:53 made this a day 1 buy for me. You guys are nailing the dark comedic tone of this so well. I can’t help but get a wide smile on my face every time.

Death is like the firstborn son-weary, morose, sick and tired of everyone and everything, constantly disregarded, undervalued, and pushed over by everyone, and of course strenuous, and always required to do something, while others reap the pleasures. Then someone who is an totally opposite, and who unlike others, treats him nicely comes in to help him out. The possibilities are endless here

Your comment- I relate to it far more than I care to think about. Still, it does leave me to wonder if I'll find that "someone who's a total opposite" that can properly help me. Something to ponder, I suppose... what a way to think on a life that's probably cookie-cutter designed for so many other 'mindless drones' in modern society.

so there no main villain in this game the story goes like mega man where boss have his own base
This game looks awesome. Fast-paced action, roguelike elements, dark humor done right, adorable jack-o-lantern secretary...what more do you need? Console ports, that's what.
I think that Pump Quinn and Death would be a cute couple.

I like how Death is super tall in the history video prompting two possible conclusions:
1. Death is so ancient it's done the cartoon old person thing of getting really short in it's old age.
2. The video is just straight up propaganda to make Death look more imposing.
Presumably he's been working his ass off to the point he lost height, becoming softer whilst the Sorrows began to get out of control. Death never lost any potency, but he's got an entire company to go through, with rebellious demigods going against him

A detail I noticed: at around 1:10, when Death reaps the old lady's soul, it's seen smiling with its arms raised. Must've waited a while, I guess.

Is that Kevan Brighting (the narrator of the Stanley Parable) narrating? It sounds a bit like him. Either way, this trailer is fantastic and I hope this game gets a Switch port because I want to play it. I love afterlife concepts!
