The eighth installment in the Matsukata Hiroki version of "Kan-san" series introduces a fresh approach with "Onna Nezumi" as another prominent character. The series showcases the familiar dynamic of Kan-san and Kinsaburo, along with the comedic interactions with Onna Nezumi, adding more comedic interactions. Furthermore, Kan-san is now depicted as married to Natsu, a woman 20 years his junior.
Kin-san, the carefree guy, has become the magistrate of Minamimachi. He happily welcomes his young bride, Natsu, and everything is going well in both his personal and public life this spring. But things take a surprising turn when the thief, Nezumi Kozo, suddenly shows up. Even though everyone thought Nezumi Kozo was executed thirteen years ago, it turns out the legacy continues through Nezumi Kozo's daughter, Onna Nezumi. To make things more complicated, her real identity is the owner of the teahouse that Kin-san often visits. Despite their different social statuses, both are committed to standing up against wrongdoers. Now, in the big city of Edo, cherry blossoms are falling, and coins are swirling in a chaotic dance...
