    What is the power consumption of this EX2200, if you happens to have a watt meter to measure it?

    Добрый день. Подскажите пожалуйста, при покупке junipera продавец не может обеспечить проверку работоспособности. То есть при включение не горят индикаторы sys alm spd dx en poe? Это нормально - но он гудит сзади индикаторы светятся.

    To avoid causing that same damage to the fan power connector latch, use one of 2 seemingly obvious choices while using less force on the screwdriver: grip the connector with wide pliers wiggling it out, or use a chip puller (not sure about now, but they used to be standard in computer toolkits) to get a grip under the connector as soon as there's a crack to slip in

    Hi,
    i have a Juniper EX2200 and have reset them to factory defaults and run ezsetup.
    Now i must connect always the USB port to my Notebook that the EX2200 run.
    What´s wrong ?

    • @Netchron
      @Netchron  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You have to connect your notebook via USB so that the EX2200 runs? It refuses to run without plugging in the USB to the Notebook? That’s extremely weird and I have never seen such issues with any network Vendor before? How is the device (EX2200) configured now?

    This is very cool and I hope they have one for cisco and PaloAlto PA-500, those makes crazy noise

      Usually, the smaller boxes all use the same fan (some with different headers but that can all be measured). It's a bit more pricey but so rewarding when you have a silent Switch / Firewall that used to sound like an engine starting ;)

    Thanks for sharing, looks like a great mod. However, so much shagging around with those brown rubber connections - it would have been so much easier with just the screws. How much sound dampening do you think these actually give?
    My switch is the POE version, so has an additional fan on the side. I am assuming this is the same fan type and thus the same mod should work. Anyone had any experience with this?

      Never mind, I purchased the fans and tested for myself. You make it look much harder than it was with the brown rubber connections, I had very little trouble with them. The power supply fan was a little trickier, and I needed to solder a custom connector, but otherwise the mod was a big success. Thanks again for the inspiration.

      Great that your's was easy to install - mine were a bit harder to install it seems - unsure why.
      But yeah - it makes a small but significant difference - every db counts in the livingroom ;)

    They come in a nice package.. that I will completely destroy. Yes, indeed, my feeling with Noctuas just as well. I'm also drowning in splitters and clips and rubber holders etc...

    Do you recommend this mod? I have an EX2200 purchased recently and it is pretty noisy, however noctua's are expensive so I'm only doing it if it really is as silent as you say.

    • @Netchron
      @Netchron  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would recommend it. It's running next to me and is still silent as on day 0 :)

      @@Netchron I actually did the mod, but changed back to original fans as i run it 24/7 haha.
      It is for my home network, it ran fine with the fans and no noise anymore indeed, however the temps were slightly higher for my feeling, which I didn't like, (very close to the "alarm threshold", now in winter maybe fine, but in summer I don't want to know. Also, I saw that the flow rate of the stock fans is twice as high as the noctua's, so not sure.
      It is in a cabinet, and I can hear it spinning up and down slightly from the outside... (latest firmware does this, don't understand why really, they say its normal). Thanks :-)

    • @Netchron
      @Netchron  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's true, that the temps are 4-5°C higher here as well but not near the threshold. But yeah - depending on where it is installed summer can be a painpoint - every °C counts ;)

      Yes - it is still running fine and quiet :) The only thing left now is to get rid of the dust in my HomeOffice Room 😅 Time to build a quiet DC 🤘🏻

    Can I do this with a 4200?

    • @Netchron
      @Netchron  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately, the EX4200 comes with a custom Fan - I haven't (yet) found a noctua for this kind of Fan.
