I just saw someone in the Facebook group who altered their lowers for upper peg guards, not good. I swapped my engine guard because of the lowers. I’ve seen a few with with high crash bars, but I believe you could damage the front fender on a FXLRS.
The sliders are made of delrin. It's a resin with Teflon fibers. They're meant do do exactly what they're called. Slide. They aren't meant to break off, but slide across the concrete and asphalt and prevent damage to the rest of the bike. They're relatively cheap to replace when compared to a primary cover etc
Check em out, they also have the high bar option, but the bung king high bar didn't fit with the FXLRS. It did, but it would bang against the front fender if you bottomed out the front. The high bar fits all the other softail models.
They reached out to me on IG and mentioned they'll address the issue with their quality control. Glad yours bolted up perfectly, mine is holding up fine. I recently scrapped the slider while leaning the bike
@InfamousCreep same here. Recently installed FXRT fairing mine, and it was hell to mock up n find a decent painter to finish it off, then back to drawing board to install on my bike. At the end of the day, I am glad I did this fairing from memphis shades road warrior fairing and talking about real experience with riding performance. It deflects majority of headwinds n feel like I am sailing a lot faster.
Them fandangled spanky sliders be good for when ya done drop yer beek after a beer drinking all daze long and don't know why. Gotz to get him on me moped.

They oughta incorporate a chin spoiler/radiator guard with optional upper peg guards

@ ya I got the rear crash peg sliders and the 1.25 14 inch aps seems beautiful. But the hard care Harley guys love spending money on brand names
