I have note 8 pro and while is a speedy phone, a few milliseconds here and there not telling all the truth. The most important aspect is consistency wich i found not great. Just look reviews in forums and all we have the same problems with wifi and gps stability, mediocre display and sound. I take Samsung any day if i know all that.
It will definitely show a difference in graphic intensive games. I have no problems with WiFi and gps, and Samsung's display quality on the a series don't come close at all to their s and note series display. So it's still mediocre to me. So it just depends, do you like gaming or just want to watch movies and TH-cam.

Though, what do you usually do on your phone, other than TH-cam? Which means in about a year your phone will be pretty slow, while entry level, super cheap phones will reach the same performance (I have a similar experience once, when I don't really care about performance, and trust me, phones can become annoyingly slow in just 6 months compared to when you bought them new). But if your focus is really on TH-cam and watching videos, then it's easier than for me just telling you the options, but for you to go to a store, and play TH-cam on it, and see how much you like the display and sound quality. Though a suggestion is for you to wait for the next a series phone by Samsung, which will have the same display or better, and maybe have a better processor and features, like camera, battery, etc, since the a50s is released in 2019.

But if you can find the newer Samsung a51 available, and at a very similar or the same price, take the a51, with the same chipset, but a slightly bigger display with less besels and chin, a punch hole instead of a notch, and 4 back cameras instead of 3. So up to you. The a50s is still a good option. Also there's the a30, which should be super cheap now, the a40, the recent a31 and the shortly upcoming a41, all with similar or the same 1080p AMOLED display, as cheaper options.
Bro,yes the display is amazing but in 2 months a50 becomes slow I used it for a better part of 5 months and I was surprised when I first came in contact with it but after 1 month and a half it became pretty slow.
