Great video. I'm 74+ and I'd like to make some suggestions, if I may. First and foremost, as a matter of safety, I'd construct some kind of safety barrier along that cliff. In the dark, people get disoriented, especially if alcohol is involved. It wouldn't have to be much, Just something that would stop someone from falling over the edge. It would be one of those things that would ruin future camping. Some old fencing would be great. Put that great IN the fire. The rust will disappear very quickly, and you can cook directly off of it. Afterwards, oil it up Good with some old lard or something to keep it from rusting so much. Just clean in fire before each use. We used to cook over open fire all the time, unless raining. That includes during deer season. I haven't been for couple years now. Health concerns. But I think about being in the timber n camping, all the time. Enjoy your time in the woods n just be safe.

I found a place on 800 acres of my family's dairy farm that is on the crest of a good 400 foot cliffside and hemmed in with false valleys and dead heads so nobody even passes through. It overlooks the whole valley and the river but it's so inaccessible that it's never been timbered in modern times so it's more of a national park feel than PA woodlands. The old growth is so big there's no brush and just tufts of ferns and wildflowers. I've built a lot of sites but this is the one and I don't wanna make it look worse. I've gotta get an old canvas tent that sleeps 2 cots on 4 pallets like at boy scout camp and a stone fire ring. Just have to find the tent. Other than that, any pointers?
