Very elegant, simple chord progression (sounds like a 4-1-1sus-5 in C). There’s a reason these melody lines are so familiar, like musical comfort food. It’s because they are so effective at evoking emotion. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. I’m a big big fan of ambient music like this being minimal and focused on a single motif. I love themes of solitude. Great job.

@@SamSergeant You certainly achieved that (simple and chill). Funnily enough "The Kraken" is more my style (epic and much darker), but something about this one stands out. It must be those suspended chords and the nonchalant sound. I used to sing in the church and some of the modern church songs had suspended chords in them. They give you a content sort of feeling. Keep up the great work. I look forward to your next synth project.

Came back to revisit this one, and I also liked the blacklight one recently. This track is really taking off, and very well deserved! It has a beautiful and tranquil sound. Calming and pleasing to the ear. You're one of the best and most well rounded artists in this underground scene in my humble opinion. It doesn't seem like there's anything that you can't do, and your list of musical accomplishments speaks for itself. I'm sure you also got some hidden gems that haven't been uploaded as well. The blacklight one has a powerful synth sound, with that great retro appeal. Perfect! Those toms are always the perfect top off for the style. I'm always really impressed with your musical ideas, and the end result is always super clean. Beautiful ambience on this one!

Another great tune Sam. This one has a very calm and content feel. It puts you in a good place. So different in mood to your last one, "The Kraken", which is more intense and dramatic. The elements have been mixed very well. I like the combination of the vibes with the various strings and the arpeggio underneath. Well done mate. Listened to it 3 times in a row.
