The reason why Kong did so well in the water was because Godzilla was playing with him and not being serious about it
If only we just had more screentime of the fights in gxk
The last fight of GxK has the biggest respect I’ve ever seen in the Monsterverse. In 2021 Kong saved Godzilla when Mecha was about to finish him off. In 2024, Godzilla saved Kong from Shimo 2 times, one when she was sprinting at him and two when she was about to freeze the same arm she had frozen before. Kong smiled at Godzilla and Godzilla nodded/smiled back and shoot his beam to the sky. This was the biggest respect I’ve ever seen.
Everyone is just struggling but Godzilla is just having a blast
