Awesome video, would love to see you do a course on Cisco ACI
Hello Ganesh, do we apply service chaining policy at branch level or at DC. I was bit confused sorry if my understanding is wrong. I just want to understand if we apply service chaining policy at DC how branches will know via vSmart of how exactly? Please help me.
Now in each edge level we can inser service chaining then why we need to wite policies in DC
Hello Ganesh,
Thanks for the video on Service chaining, I have gone through the video but I have one doubt.
Now suppose We have a DC-1 a and Branch B-1 and B-2 if we have service chaining applied on the
comunication from branch B-1 to B-2 that all traffic should crocc via DC and and all
Firewall rule and L4-L7 inspection happen at that point.
But what if when traffic traffic leaves DC and before reaching B-2 if it is hacked and manipulated by attacker.
As we dont have any security machenism at branc location.

Hi Ashish, thanks for posting the question...let me try to answer ...service chaining is concept to secure traffic between two end point by inserting some function...so think as if in data center...of server A wants to communicate to Server B ,it has to go via firewall..but still both server can get compromise directly...irrespective of Service chaining....sonic u want more security...then place L7 device near all endpoints...hope that answers Ur query..
All About Concepts thanks Ganeshh it really helps..
