Hey mate. Amazing channel, i love every video you upload. I have a question about my Boba/Green deck. Currently my local stores (3) weekly tournaments, have a 70% players playing aggro (Sabine & Xms Leia). What do you remove from main deck to add ×2 extra Shot First and ×3 Starviper?

In an earlier deck tech you had an imagie with colored circles around which cards were good in which matchups (vs control, mid, aggro). There's no immediate slot replacement like Dooku in Blue/Black since there are no other 7 drops in Green/Black and Yellow/Black only has "I Had No Choice" at 7 which serves a different purpose in the deck than Vader does. If you have no Vaders maybe running Probe Droids (as already discussed in the video) with Chimaera instead of Vader would be an O.K. replacement? It's hard because you're sacrificing a lot of power and maybe it would be better just to run another build without him TBH...
@@plumar83 I don't rate Starving gundhip very highly, it's very slow and doesn't kill much with its 3 attack. Beside we don't really need 4 drop , since we're trying to jump from drop 3 to 5 with ramp.
You could try mercenary company. 6 resource 5/5 with ambush and overwhelm. You could also go heavier green and use Star vipers and escort skiffs. Vehicles being vehicles has come up more than few times vs villian red I’ve noticed vs force choke.
I have watched the firespray part like 10 times and still don't know how your doing 10 dmg with with it sounds like your saying "arrive" or "revive" what is that? Are you saying comes in to play 5 that turn then you can ready it then 5 again out the gate so 10 quickly?
Since he is playing Boba Fett as a leader, Fett’s Firespray always comes in ready since it triggers the ‘When Played’ effect on the card. He’s saying if you use the ECL ‘epic action’, you can Ambush something with Fett’s Firespray and then trigger its ‘When Played’ to un-exhaust(ready up) Fett’s Firespray. Therefore you could potentially do 10 damage in one turn: either Ambush 5 to an opponent unit and then 5 to base next attack, or Ambush 5 to an opponent and then 5 to another/same unit next attack.
@@Thorrk_THT I love all of those. Command seems extremely good and underrated. Being able to pump a creature then kill a larger one seems great. Or to bring back a destroyed unit or ramp the board. I like it
If on the nuts turn you play Bossk, but they don’t have a unit to attack does he still ready with the do what you can card rule? Also if so… Can you then later attack with him?

Double Yellow is very aggro/tempo focus, so playing Thrawn over Boba in such a deck would be a lot worse. The only combo color where playing Thrawn makes more sense than Boba is blue in my opinion.

Dang man, releasing banger after banger! Do you have any thoughts on the Windu/Luke/Redemption build which Kotul ran against you in the finals of the last TTS tournament? From my memory he had a few misplays which cost him the second round but if played correctly he could have come out on top in that second game. Is that build just more inconsitent when compared to Boba who puts out threat after threat throughout the different stages of the game?
I think it's a good deck, but I think it's not quite on the same level as the other deck I have covered on this channel so far, I will definitely show my version of it at some point.
The game has been out for 4 weeks but, people including me have been playing this game for months on TTS. I have been playing a deck similar to this since October my friend ;)

Well time will tell if this holds true, but from my experience it has been the best deck in the game. And the little tournament/league results we have back this up.
Maybe this is the best, but... Many swore there was a top three ( Sabine, boba, and iden). Since then I've heard some claim that Luke and chirrut can compete. A guy even top cut a big tournament with chewy. I just don't think the meta is "solved" yet. I also expect some super control builds to pop up soon with palp and thrawn.
Hey so just for context when I make a claim that I think this deck is the best, it doesn't mean the deck is unbeatable I say quite the opposite in my video, and it obvioulsy doesn't mean the meta is solved. I very much agree that the meta is not solved yet but this doesn't prevent me from having an opinion on which deck is the best at the moment. After all, that's all I am doing on the channel giving my opinion on stuff (it's call Thorrk Hot's Takes after all). Yes Luke, Chirrut , Han, Vader, Krennic and Leia are competitve options and you can win games with ANY leaders. But it doesn't mean that there are all equally powerful. Time will tell which deck will end up forming the definitive SOR meta but it doesn't prevent us from having an opinion for the time being. About the Polish Tournament, the Chewbacca was definetly a huge meta call to beat all of the aggro decks that seem to have paid off. With that being said, a single top 8 performance is great but not enough to draw any conclusion of the power of the deck. Also keep in mind that it is still early on with a huge proportion of quite inexperience players that does skew the result a bit, at this point player's skill gap is so big it matters more than player's deck. On the top 8 game I have seen, I was not impressed by the deck, the chewie player lost to its good MU (sabine green) despite the Sabine player missing Turn 1 play two games in a row (which is a death sentence for aggro). With that being said kudos the chewie player for the good meta call, and for the undeniable good performance! Other than that, the top 32 field was very much what I was expecting, full of Boba green, Krennic/iden control and Sabine/Green. So using that tournamement to debunked what people have called the meta doesn't quite work :) . Even when the meta will be solved, there will always be some rogue decks pulling good perfomance that's the beauty of card game.
You're falling into a trap called "results based thinking", this is one of the deadliest traps card gamers can fall into. In this case: "Boba didn't win the big tournament; therefore the Boba/Sabine/Iden meta does not exist." Card games necessarily rely on random elements. The best player with the best deck will not always win, the right move will not always give the best result, and the move that gave the best possible result was not necessarily the right choice. This isn't to say the Boba/Sabine/Iden meta is an unchallengeable idea, but there's a heap of factors that are affecting these early results (not least among them is people's ability to acquire 3 Vader's). A lot of very good players, and most of the closest players we have to authority figures agree on Boba/Sabine/Iden. There's some large tournaments with very large "cash" (store credit) prizes coming up, that will be our first real insight into this game's meta.
@@aidanleenstra1605 Not only that the TOP 32 was very much full of boba/krennic/Iden/Sabine, Boba was actually finalist and was playing without vader for budget reason.
Went undefeated at my local event, a variation of this deck was my hardest match up. I was playing Tarkin trooper deck

If you don't have vader I would just lower the curve of the deck to make it more aggro, play Starviper and/or more shoot first in the maindeck.

I am told that the leader when turned over on starting side means it is not a unit? Which is correct?
Yes when the leader is not deployed as a unit he is not a unit, but regardless Firespray comes into play ready.

What I am trying to say is that Firespray can very easily deal 10 damage very quickly. Unless you have an immediate answer

No thank god, an ambush unit doesn't come into play ready if it has no unit to ambush.

No the game is relatively well balanced atm. I think this deck is the strongest but far from "broken" and can be soft countered.

There are few very competitve deck that don't use vader Sabine , Luke and Boba Yellow.

sucks to see a game 3 years in the making have such poor playtesting, but I love to see star wars on the table!
Why do you guys use sideboards when you play and demo vids? Theyre not in the actual game yet.
They are 100% part of competitve play. We even know exactly how they work.
This is not true. Bo3 are sideboard.
