It feels like they tried to add something in RDR1, the way the mountains are put, and the fact that they made a small area where strawberry will be in RDR2
Wonder if someone will try to recreate the Big Valley, Heartland, and city regions into RDR1 if the PC version releases. Imagine how cursed that would be
I feel like r* should’ve kept the environment/landscape the same. The southern part of big valley (just north of the upper Montana) should’ve been an extension of tall trees (scenery based) where as you get north of strawberry and towards mount shann it’ll change into what we see today. Side note I hate how rdr2 makes tall trees Sierra Redwoods. In the original game they were various types of pine trees and took inspiration from north Texas (Nacogdoches) in particular.
My theory that why the river is so deep is bc we know the Skinner brothers move around so i believe that they destroyed the owngela (idk how to spell it) dam
If there ever was an RDR1 remaster, do you think the rest of West Elizabeth, New Hanover, Ambarino and Lemoyne would be added to the game, with some differences, like cars in Saint Denis, and such, more brick buildings in Valentine, Van Horn being recovered, and Butcher Creek looking more like an actual town with a general store, wider bridge, other shops. Newer buildings to Rhodes along with a change to the road, Braithwaite manor being reconstructed, but used as a winery or something. Hanging Dog ranch being bought up by some other rich guy. Colter being reinhabited and maybe some small towns and ranches up in Ambarino.
In an RDR1 Remaster, there wouldn't be any need to have those locations. Since they'd remain mostly in line with the original, they'd stick to what they have for now. But, I would still love references to RDR2 to make them feel more connected.
Appreciate the details you put into these videos! Personal suggestion is the area south of Tesoro Azul, specifically near the maze-like caverns that are a bit west of there.
Not exactly, in RDR2 it’s across the path just west of Fort Riggs. It’s an open area with some rocks in the middle with trees around it. Similar to how it was in 1. The landscape is vastly different in my personal opinion, the only thing that was brought back or (built off of) was the large rock formation/cliffside in the mission you save Sean in, a small divot that appear next to the formation in 1 that came back in the form of “Hawk Eye Creek”, and again the area where the outfitter was located. I’m very nit-picky about it as a rdr 1 fan, in the first game it wasn’t covered in pine trees it’s was a mixture of Elm, Oak, and birch trees. It was more rugged and “hilly” while more east it resembles more Great Plains climate and more openness. I already said in a comment on here that I wished Rockstar would’ve used the already made environment in RDR1 and built on it in 2.
That's what I tried to do, but it's not as simple as it seems. RDR1 and RDR2 are very different. If you follow the video chapters it will be easier to understand.
Still crazy how some locations from RDR2 are technically in RDR1.
Yeah, i didnt even realize strawberry was that far down the big valley region, so thats technically in RDR1.
