40:15 how is it not common sense that if you're wondering if a spouse can stay home, you simply try to live off one income? Dave gets these calls periodically, and this advice comes as a shock to every single caller. To me, it's blatantly obvious. If you want only one income, you have to make sure you can live on that one income. It's not rocket science (or surgery as Dave would say).
And make sure the wife is covered if you die, divorce, or become disabled. Wives choose all the time to stay at home and then expect those of us who do work and pay in to social security to let them take survivor benefits if their husbands die. You don't pay in, you don't take later!
I’m thinking about starting my investment journey, but I feel a bit overwhelmed and uncertain. Do you have any tips or suggestions on who l could reach out to for guidance?
Making touch with financial advisors like Elizabeth Regina Nelson who can assist you restructure your portfolio, would be a very creative option. Personal financial management will be crucial to navigating the next difficult times
Unfortunately, not all of us were financially literate early. I was 35 when I finally educated myself and started taking steps. I went from $176,000 in debt with zero savings or retirement to now, 2 years later, fully debt-free and over $1000,000 net worth. I know that doesn't SOUND like a lot, but I'm incredibly proud of it. Now I'm fast-tracking my wealth building (investing $400,000 annually) and don't owe a dime to anyone. It's a good feel
The caller specifically said its not a recall as of now, and they need it to be fixed. I had a issue like thst too, where it was normal for a fuel pump to go out and i had to replace the fuel lines from the pump to the car, but it went on recall about a year later and i had to get my money back. But again the caller said its not on recall yet.
To the caller with the 10,000 r gun repair…. Please don’t give up. My son is a mechanic and has worked at 2 dealerships. You would not believe how many total engine replacements are done do to a recall, blew my mine! If that is what’s going on keep pushing the manufacturer snd push, always a possibility they eventually will make it a recall snd you can get your money back. Be the loud voice !
To the farmer. If she stays home, you can pull the kids out of catholic school and she can homeschool them. That's all that money back from tuition and gas from traveling back and forth taking them to school, that's money found. If you pay off your car today then boom, you get all that money back per month.
Not everyone can or wants to homeschool. I’m home with 5 kids under 9 and we send our 3 oldest kids to Catholic school due to various reasons. It’s very possible to do so on 1 income. We know many families like that in our Catholic school which we love!
Hahaha Dave when I found you on internet and I saw you saying to get into the restaurant if I work there and to be on beans and rice I bought a lot of baked beans cans maybe that is what my husband didn’t you like you very much initially. 😅😂😂😂😂
I've been looking into cryptocurrency investments, but I'm still unsure about the best and safest way to go about it. Any advice or insights you could share?
That sad eeyore caller from TX asking for Dave's advice on taking his parents to Disney World on a $1,000 made me cringe. A trip to DW in Fl would cost about $1k per person (airfare, hotels on property, meals, park admission). I think he was hoping Dave would gift him a trip for the entire family; kids, wife, his parents, etc. Dream on, buddy!
The question is not "Can I afford for my wife to stay at home? " The question is "What will happen if the only breadwinner becomes disabled or if we divorce?" There are calls every month (or even more recently) on here from women who chose to stay out of the workforce and found themselves in financial situations they never anticipated. Women are still responsible for being able to take care of themselves through education and skills if they need to - it's 2024 not 1954. Once the kids are school age, keep at least one foot in the marketplace at least part-time so that life ever forces you to take a full-time job, you're at least partially prepared. And, ladies, if you choose not to work and don't pay in to social security, don't expect those of us who do stay employed to pay survivor benefits to you if your husband dies.
If you are married, you get his social security if he dies, if you are married for 10 years you get half of your husband’s security even if you get divorced after 10 years. Women have a lot of entitlement in this country that they take for granted, Men get nothing
Ok mobile homes. In about say 1980 I moved from an apartment to a small mobile home park. Little fenced yards and driveway for car. Even shed. My apartment was about $320 a month the lot for trailer was at first $95 a month. The trailer was small but well built a Saginaw made with great central heat and air. I bought it $2500 I believe. Paneling frigetsare nice living room bath built in chest of drawers on small room I used as a study while I took accounting. Even a little deck. Apartment were 300 to 409 my lot rent was 95- to 145 by the time I left. When I left and bought my home I sold the trailer for 1800 and used that money to partially furnish my home. I made money on the whole event. It allowed me to fund my IRA and 401k easier, I was only paying one third to half what a rental would have been. I can't remember how I paid off the trailer maybr a loan but it didn't take long to pay off most of the 5 years I was there it was paid off. So depending on your circumstances this actually made me a lot of money and wealth.
Ramsey corp must have scraped the email address off of my other youtube account, 'Crazy Mouse Lady.' I sometimes watch the show on that account. Nearly a month after signing up for their daily contest with the e-dress associated with this main account, they suddenly started sending the daily reminders to BOTH unrelated email accounts. One is a google e-dress, one is not.
I feel Dave should be a little bit more empathetic and and sensitive to the guy calling from Atlanta, whose parents are very ill. Take it easy on him Dave remember you’ve been there done that right?
Just finished the ebook The Hidden Path to Manifesting Financial Power, and it gave me so many useful tips. Worth every minute!
Dave said “you sound you got the energy of hound dog in the sun” 😅 that’s gold.

Gosh thank you, you are a blessing. I will look for this as often as you have time to create them.
You do awesome works by providing timestamps in recent times. Thank you!
Thanks for providing this for us! we appreciate it
would be nice to have a title instead of caller 1, caller 2 etc
Ramsey does gods work by teaching money you do gods work on saving us all time
Why aren't they harder on those people that make over $150,000 and no savings?
What good would that do - what's past can't be changed.
Love Dave. On baby step 4,5,6 right now and it feels so good to have an emergency fund. There is a way! Just follow the steps.

Why would you need to borrow 10,000 if u make 200,000 a year?
🤷🏽♂️ ridiculous!!
Poor money management
The 200k a year income maybe a ficticious number. She said they have 1600 in savings. The math is not mathing.
It's probably 215 before taxes. Plus 10k repair on a truck. That's insane
the fact that nobody talks about the book The Secret Doctrine of Wealth on nixorus talks about how people are stuck in a trance
I’m thinking about starting my investment journey, but I feel a bit overwhelmed and uncertain. Do you have any tips or suggestions on who l could reach out to for guidance?
The retirement crisis is getting worse and the economy is so messed up to start investing right now.
Getting advice from an expert when building an investment portfolio is a wise choice , as the process can be quite complex

Life is easier when the cash keeps popping in, thanks to Elizabeth Regina Nelsen's services. Glad she's getting the recognition she deserves
I worked 39.5 years and retired at 56. I'm almost 70 and I have never thought about working again. Love being retired and no regrets!
This guy thinks he's going to bring his parents and his kids to Disney for $1,000 is insane
I dont think you can get 6 people in the park for that much, much less travel and food. Its gotta be 3k minimum id think
She is asking about converting balances…that is likely not allowed. She is contributing to the Roth 401k. Thats two different questions
Needed some Dave Ramsey today to keep me motivated!!
i always laugh when dave says “butt stuff” 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Dude isn’t going anywhere with $1000, let alone Disneyworld 😂🤦🏽♂️
He needs easily 3-4k for a trip like that, prob more
For sure
He was hoping Dave would donate the trip! So sad Eeyore, now go back to the 100-acre wood!
Exactly, I spent $800 on a weekend trip to Arkansas with 2 people. $1,000 is going to get him nowhere
Idk, I would be up for some “Uncle Dave’s Instant Rice and Beans” product
If it is a recall, then the manufacturer is responsible for the repair. Be absolutely certain it is indeed a recall. You shouldn't pay a dime.

My favourite duo
Road trip to see parents, your kids will have more memories of the trip, visit parents, forget disney.
yALL STARTING TO HAVE TO MANY COMMMERICALS
Sometimes only 5 or 6 calls in a 2 hour show. So many ads in between

Talking to an expert like Maren Hilda Authurs to reshape your portfolio is a very smart move.
Bitcoin hitting 100k. So much in regret i did not invest
My husband is really making alot of money from cryptocurrency investment. I could ask him to teach me.
I tried trading alone. My capital was lost.
I do see it that forex and crypto trading is one of the profitable money exchange services that elevates investors and their financial status.
I've had that happen as well where my employer would not allow in plan conversions.

Dave is being pretty rude in this episode... Maybe he's been super rich too long
I'd buy Uncle Dave's spicy rice and beans haha
Please have Tammy on at least once!🤗

$215,000 income and $1,600 in savings? 🤯
"Living the American dream"
Haha I had more when I was in college working part time. How sad .
Crazy. I have a 50k income and 20k in a savings not counting retirement accounts
@@bribradt3450 You are doing great. Just remember to stop and smell the roses here and there.
That is my question too. Where is all the money?
I didn't make nearly that much and I have squirreled away a nice tidy sum.
Dave and Ken 👏👏👏
Hit the gym Dave 🙂
I feel Dave should be a little bit more empathetic and and sensitive to the guy calling from Atlanta, whose parents are very ill. Take it easy on him Dave remember you’ve been there done that right?
Dave can sniff out a con job across the phone lines. So, no eeyore to trip to DW.
This lady can't figure it out making $215,000 a year oh my God this is so unrelatable to like 95% of the people who probably listen to the show
Don’t take tax advice from Dave Ramsey.
