  • Detailed step by step guide on how to initiate PD on a cycler. The cycler in the video is from Baxter. If you use a Fresinius cycler, the steps are a little different.
    Please use these videos as a tool to the training you’ve already if you’re a current PD patient. As always ask your nurse or nephrologist for specific questions related to your treatment.

      @@chiomawilliams 7.5% is called Extraneal (icodextrin) it’s a non sugar based solution that works only if it’s dwelling for at least 8 hours. It’s good for diabetics because it doesn’t have sugar in it and it’s good at taking off fluid from people who are constantly fluid overloaded. Most cycled patients have it as a last fill and keep it in their abdomen thought the daytime and it drains out at night while on the machine
