I agree wholeheartedly. I am an educator for 35 yrs and I have seen many guys and girls who have wasted their talents because they refused to discipline themselves to protect their gifts. Education must be first then athletics. After their careers, most athletes are struggling financially because they have no idea how to invest their money to enhance themselves after their careers are finished. I tell my third grade scholars to read my motto before instruction starts and before we dismiss from school. “ Never ever allow anyone or anything to interfere with your learning, your dreams and your success.” Be blessed and balanced my brothers and sisters!!
