PB&J with veggie sticks or chips and fresh fruit was always a great lunch when my children were little. They are adults now but I do have grandchildren. They love quesadillas or fish stick sandwiches or tacos. I love easy summers. We do not stress of meals. The grill and air fryer have become my best friend to beat the heat. I LOVE all your videos.
Absolutely! In addition l use my pressure cooker/crockpot, just keep them outside on our patio cooking area. I also have a portable electric oven I put outside to use as well.
Maria…I make this comment from time to time but I’m saying again how much I appreciate it when you remind us to use what we have on hand…to me, it isn’t just for budgetary reasons, it’s common sense advice. Cook what ya have!
I think 80% of my childhood meals are featured here! (Just add jello and sliced oranges and apples!) I still love tuna melts and english muffin pizzas.
I love the fish tacos. I also like to do them with chicken strips, because i can get a big bag of these frozen and they go great with any lettuce or greens, tomatoes and sweetcorn or salsa. 😊
We had a box of potatoe flakes soon to expire, we put a can of vegtable soup and added semi thawed carrot, pea, corn, green bean frozen veggies, topped with mashed potatoe flakes (just added water) topped onto soup n veggies and heated through covered in oven...then took cover off and browned mashed potatoe...till brown...shepards pie!...used different veggie soups we found our favorites...also will add ground cooked hamburger meat if we have some precooked and frozen...takes a little while to heat through, but then we have time to straighten up while cooking... Ty... you made me hungry for microwave hotdogs and mac n cheese...then fish sticks and mac n cheese... We sometimes add microwaved frozen broccoli to mac n cheese too...love these recipes...thank you...we need more for busy summers...
If you want to change up the first meal a bit for not too much more, take a can of refried beans and spread on bottom of casserole dish, add your frozen burritos (4-5 of them), top with a can of sloppy joe mix or your or sloppy joe mix recipe then drizzle over one cam of enchilada sauce over (we prefer the red), then top with shredded cheese. Cover with foil and bake at 375 for 35mins, remove foil and bake for an additional 5-10mins). Can top with sour cream and salsa. This was an old family favorite but with gluten issues and keeping carb intake lower now, we havent had it in a long time.
I’m a stay at home mom and I absolutely love to cook! Sometimes it can get so busy and I’m finding myself having to rush dinner together. So these recipes are very appreciated ❤😊 Ps…I’ve never used Tony’s creole seasoning on green beans! I need to try that. It’s in my pantry 😂
Thanks for the great recipes! Many of these meals (ravioli, PB&J, tuna melts, ramen) were go-to’s when my boys were home. (They’re 33 and 25 now, with their own families). I make the burrito bowls with canned chicken. I lightly sauté the chicken with a little taco seasoning before adding to the bowl.
Great ideas in a frugal budget that are quick and easy. It’s hot her in Vicksburg, MS, so I’m going with tuna sandwiches, chips and fruit for dinner tonight. Thanks, as usual. Debi in Vicksburg, MS. 🥰🥰
Who in the world thinks YOU have all this time on your hands?! Like not having 3 young sons isn't enough, you have a full time job as a Content Creator. Do people realize that after you cook and record, you do voice overs, intros, outros, editing, thumbnails, and answering all these comments?! My goodness, that doesn't even include housework, extra curricular activities, and laundry. I don't know how you do it all and look so good doing it :-) Thanks for all you do
A good sauce for the tacos, 1 part salsa and 1 part ranch dressing. I have that on the Guerrero tostado shells, 2 of those keeps me in my diabetic limits. They are crunchy. Good with cheese and taco filling topped with the cabbage. I'll also save some cod if I eat it for dinner and make leftovers on tostadas the next day.
Try frying the ravioli.. I cook them let them cool dip in egg wash and then breadcrumbs swallow fry them in skillet with oil or deep fry them till golden brown have marinara sauce or whatever sauce you like on side and serve.. yummy
I love that you talked about tomatoes becoming more plentiful soon. I *think* you are in Ohio, based on previous things you have communicated. I live in Nova Scotia, Canada, and Ohio has a similar climate to the part of Nova Scotia I live in, and I am super excited about the plentiful harvests that are starting and will be super amazing for the next five months or so. :)
This is great I am only at the PB&J and I am already writing the ideas down for this week! These make great lunch ideas, I WAH and run out of ideas for my husband and son for lunches!❤❤
I enjoy a frozen Burrito now and then adding Riced Cauliflower is another way to get in veggies without breaking the bank or even a side salad. As for Ramen Noodles YES please ! Especially, if I do not want to wait for pasta to boil. Great ideas Maria
Everything looks absolutely delicious thanks for sharing being using beef and bean burritos for years only thing I do sometimes is put them in my Air fryer just to get them a little crispy😋🙏🏾❤️
I stock up on Progresso Chicken Enchilada soup when its 99 cents, I add a can of drained black beans ( or whatever beans I have in my cupboard) , yummy.
I watch TH-cam videos while I have dinner. Most of your time savers are staples in my house too. (Frozen burritos, ramen, chicken quesadillas, and egg rice especially.) It made me lol because I'm having a frozen chimichanga for dinner now, same one you show in the yellow bag, not to mention same plate!) I do appreciate the reminder to add veg to my meals, I forgot that I can do that. I love your channel and always learn something new. MUST try those fish tacos and the tuna melt!
When I have leftover rice, I scramble an egg and add enough rice to the egg to make it a bit thick. I froy it in patties and put butter and salt and pepper on it. My daughter put syrup on it.
You can also make the pizzas on some cut open toasted hot dog buns.... great way to use up hot dog buns.... bonus they can look like little French bread pizza for the kids! 🥖🍕 Fish sandwiches on hot dog buns are great on the go lunch.
This is awesome thanks!! Esp fish sticks ! Prob easy toget colds from ur kids. I try eat a little broc 🥦 (from frozen) everyday! And noticed im not getting sick all the time, like before . 😊
You are blessed because at our save a lot store Roman lettuce is $3.99 for 3 heads. I'm prepared for making home made Alfredo sauce. And going too try parmesan crisps and bread croutons.
Where I'm at pre cooked rotisserie chicken will run you around 7 or 8 dollars and that includes wal mart, Albertsons, and up to 10 at Krogers. We do not have Costco, Aldi, etc. anywhere close by so..
When I want spicy ramen I add siracha or chili packet from the Chinese restaurant and a spoonful of peanut butter and stir it in. Makes the broth thicker like you did the egg.
I would love to see your sourdough process- I have been keeping mine alive for months and only made three breads so far- I’m so intimated haha idk why and I have also done bagels with it and wasn’t to bad and English muffins but didn’t care for that.. I need to just try again but it does take time 😉🤗
Popping the ingredients into a bread maker takes about 2 minutes & you have homemade bread for the week. It will make your meals seem decadent! Knock it off with the colds already! Sending good vibes 😊
Wow! A can of tuna is about 4,50 dollars where I live 😂😮 I get so jealous that you have so many options for ready meals in grocery stores, its not really a thing in Denmark 🤷🏼♀️ I really like your content, great inspiration! ❤
Homemade croutons are free if you make them with old rolls and bread (keep a big baggie of them to add to and take from in the freezer) melt a bit of butter, add garlic salt and Italian seasoning and toss in cubes of old bread/rolls. Spread on cookie sheet and cook at 375-400 until toasty and fragrant. Will kick store bought’s booty all the way out of town.
Can you make vegetarian meals? Or vegetarian optional meals for those of us who want to substitute the meat, fish, or poultry. I know you gave some vegetarian options on this video. But would you be willing to do more?
Add the egg to the last couple of minutes while the ramen is cooking, you don’t want to take a chance with raw eggs, especially with little kids. Also you can soft/hard boil the egg before, then add the fully cooked egg cut in half to the ramen, I think it’s actually better that way.
I would love to know wich state you are in , I'm in las vegas nv. You are saying all of these prices in your video and I can not find any of the nice cheap prices you are talking about.

Yay! So happy to help! And definitely try that seasoning! So good! My kids eat it up and it’s so easy!
Haven't even watched yet, but I just had to mention, every time I see your videos I save them in "Recipes to try" immediately!
Fish stick tacos. You are brilliant!!!The tuna melt is so high end with the fresh tomato and home made bread.
Impressed, will be adding fish stick tacos plus a few more from video...ty!
This is everyday real life. Imho the keys to fast & cheap meals are a well stocked pantry and a little planning ahead
Great ideas Maria. Perfect for people like me who hate to cook and don't want to spend more than 10 minutes coming up with something to eat. 😆🧡

Fish stick tacos is genius!
That was great!!! Thank you!!
I toast the english muffins/bagels first before adding the sauce n cheese because my kids like it a little crunchy

Good advice.
We sometimes add frozen peas to tomato soup
When I want spicy ramen I add siracha or chili packet from the Chinese restaurant and a spoonful of peanut butter and stir it in. Makes the broth thicker like you did the egg.
Yummm! Such a good idea!

Maria, I have just found your channel and love it! The only thing you don't have are desserts.
I’m so glad you’re here! I don’t have a ton of desserts I’m sorry! But I have lots of other ideas!
I would love to see your sourdough process- I have been keeping mine alive for months and only made three breads so far- I’m so intimated haha idk why and I have also done bagels with it and wasn’t to bad and English muffins but didn’t care for that.. Tater soup made from potatos au gratin n carrot...celery..onion.. chicken bouillon n water
The great value box of au gratin or scalloped potatoes are around a dollar at Walmart
Great idea!!! Love that!
I couldn't find your sour dough bread recipe..ugh. great idea's. Thank you !!
Here is the recipe I use! I’ll be sharing my own example soon! www.farmhouseonboone.com/no-knead-sourdough-bread
Would love to get a recipe for the cambells ham&beann soup bc in germany we don't get them here 😢 so i can make my own one ❤
Aww! I can look!
I love PB&J!
Me too!

I use tortillas crisped up and do pizzas!! Yum!
Yum! Great idea!
Great ideas! I can’t believe the prices of food on the USA though! $1.97 for peanut butter?! It’s at least $6 up here in Canada! 😮

I like tomatoes and corn in my ramen. :)
Yum!
My brother ate the beef and bean or bean and cheese with ketchup on top when we were kids
Awesome
👍🏼👍🏼
Hi Maria 👋🏻
My brother had a blanket he called his Comphy. 🥰
Awww!
Can you make vegetarian meals? Or vegetarian optional meals for those of us who want to substitute the meat, fish, or poultry. I know you gave some vegetarian options on this video. But would you be willing to do more?
Walmart Honey Wheat bread $1.75. Walmart E/M $1.50 now at my Walmart yesterday
You have nice knife skills
Add the egg to the last couple of minutes while the ramen is cooking, you don’t want to take a chance with raw eggs, especially with little kids.
Also you can soft/hard boil the egg before, then add the fully cooked egg cut in half to the ramen, I think it’s actually better that way.
You look really pretty tonight!
Where are you from? None of those prices are that cheap in SW Missouri.
Yeah mothers and colds this season is crazy.
Yes 😵💫
I've moved to a new city and I haven't seen a rotisserie chicken in any of the 5 main grocery stores I go to! what a bummer!
What store do you shop at?
Dollar tree has extra value tomato soup. 30 percent more.
Perfect!
🎉
These are wonderful but the Walmart prices you said are wrong now. For instance, bread is now $1.30. Still cheap, but not as cheap as it was.
Wow your groceries are so cheap. Where do you live? I’m in Hawaii and only wish my Walmart prices looked like that ☺️
I watch someone make tomato soup with spaghetti sauce 😮
I would love to know wich state you are in , I'm in las vegas nv. You are saying all of these prices in your video and I can not find any of the nice cheap prices you are talking about.
