Hello! Next time try tying the line to a more flexible object, i.e. a branch. It will prevent the hooked fish from getting unhooked as it will allow the fish to move more and get exhausted without tensioning the line too much. Greetings from Brazil and keep it up with the amazing fishing videos!

Dude those are some creepy worms. Those are Pheretima sieboldi, definetly not nightcrawlers. They seem to have way tougher skin and in general more stiff than nightcrawlers.

It was not a worm it is a Indotyphlops braminus, commonly known as the brahminy blind snake.
@@jessewilson8676 Definitely not a brahminy blind snake. If you've ever seen one before, they move much faster than that in the video, and the seibold worms in the video behaved just as typical earthworms would.

Used to run set lines in a murky river. One day pulling one up and what I thought was a snake came out of the water at me. Was a long neck turtle. I almost had a heart attack. Shit those worms were frisky though!

I tried googling “nightcrawler” and I can’t find that kind of worm anywhere. Nightcrawler just comes up as earth worm. Are those seriously just earthworms??? They are insanely huge!
Yes , they are just big earthworms .
Maybe look up nightceawler in Kapan. They kinda looked blue. They did elongate after he hooked one
Just add "worm" to that nightcrawler search and the second result is about the differences between a nightcrawler and an earthworm. And they are definitely difference species of worm.
That said, what he is finding in the video is absolutely not a nightcrawler as we know them in the US. Nightcrawlers are flabby just like a giant ordinary worm, those one in the video act more like snake than a worm! After googling a bit (giant worm japan) I am pretty confident that the worm he is finding is the Pheretima sieboldi, or Sieboldi Earthworm.There are videos of them on youtube acting like that.
