    Asad is legit, for me it's better than Elixir. I do like Elixir but Asad for a fraction of the price is just a no brainer. The vanilla makes it softer and more versatile as well.

    When I first got asad it flipped my world up side down! At this point I had already amassed a large fragrance collection. Asad showed me that knowledge is power and money is a weak indicator of how good a fragrance can be. I can say confidently that of all the clones, designers, and niche fragrances I have asad has the best price to value ratio hence why it damn near gave me a mid fragrance collection crisis.

    • @bronstet
      @bronstet ปีที่แล้ว +16

      Absolutely. The value and quality of the Middle Eastern fragrance house products are so high that it really gives me pause and makes me wonder about the quality of the designer products and how much they're overcharging us for that quality. To be fair, there are also French and American houses also produce insanely high value high quality colognes as well, it's not just the Middle Eastern houses. But you do have to do some research and consider buying online to maximize your value per dollar.

      I've got elixir and asad and even though they smell similar elixir is way more rich and the oil concentration is of super high quality. iv literally never had a compliment from asad but every time I wear elixir it blows peoples minds lol can't be out for an hour in public without getting at least 1 compliment. all the compliments iv had from elixir have all been women which is even better lol. I literally gave asad to one of my mates.

    • @drek9k2
      @drek9k2 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@kenmastersmaster Yeah the jack up is just tremendous. I don't disbelieve that some real niche obscure hipster houses are using the finest rare Himalayan orchids hand picked by the fair trade indigeneous Sherpas of this obscure Nepalese village of etc. etc. but...I really don't believe the designers are doing this, in fact in many cases it's just ambroxan and random synthetics anyway since you can't even use ambergris or musk or anything, and so it's often questionable outside of niche even if they are using real sandalwood or oud. So at the end of the day in most cases what you really are paying for is just the brand. It's at least not as bad as say Apple, where Apple literally makes inferior products using child slave labor and ruining the environment and all yuo get is the cheapest, most shitly made and bad performing laptop that dies in two years (if you're lucky, more likely it starts failing in a year).

Last week I sprayed Asad on my hands and the woman who sits next to me at work asked what I was wearing? I said, Asad and she really liked it. I have a smal frag collection 24 colognes. Funny enough I wore the Lattafa Asad today. My bottle is supper strong & projects. If you just bought it remember to let it settle for about 3 days to a week then try. This is a common mistake people make. The juice is all shaked up. With my Guerlain ideal extreme I was so anxious to try it straight away and when I try it, it was so week. I ended up leaving it for two weeks then it all came together smelling nice with the right strength. ❤

    I love Assad and regardless
    Whether it’s stronger than Dior Elixir for £13 (I paid £18.99 for 100ml) in the UK whereas Elixir is £130 for 60ML so it’s a no Brainer.
    Get 8-10 bottles of Assad
    Vs the price of 1 bottle of Elixir.

    I tested Asad in a store (bottle had obviously macerated) and I was impressed. Bought a new bottle and it was ‘meh’. Fast forward 5 months. It macerated immensely and I get more licorice and spices than initially. Also much deeper now.

      @@bahunsuaxaviermyke3997when perfume ages. It's like wine gets finer with time, same goes to fragrances. You macerate or oxidize fragrances to allow the ingredients to fully meld together. This way they'll become more impactful.

    Thanks for the review, im honestly considering buying it now because of this review
    I was thinking about getting another bottle of dior sauvage elixir *100ml* but it is expensive
    and seeing you say its 80-90% the same as dior sauvage, i think this could be a full replacement to me.
    Although i can afford dior sauvage, i could get Lattafa Asad, and even get my self some regular dior sauvage EDP or EDT?

  • @ColinDyckes

    No ambroxan, but oud and musk. Doesn't really sound as if it should smell like Sauvage Elixir. I have and love the genuine Sauvage Elixir, plus the Alexandria Fragrances Ete Elixir clone which is a very close match apart from the synthetic opening. Also Gisada Ambassador (on your recommendation ❤) . As you say, maybe a cheap cross between Elixir and Ambassador?

  • @colinnotyou0k78
