For those who might not know (very few of you watching this, I imagine) the Marshall power section is either EL34 or 5881 tubes. Vox amps are EL84 tubes.
Her first RR and I think she did pretty well. I'm sure she will feel more comfortable and relaxed in the next rundowns. I'm looking forward to seeing more. Kinda missed the old school rundowns - though I'm not a John Bohlinger hater in any way. Maybe it was the artists he did the rundowns for I couldn't connect with. But CC is cool und Dave Bryson's great and honest and.. great! :D
Bohlinger at least asks the important questions, unlike that Perry dude, who's always "Gotcha!" "Cool!" and acting like he eats a bowl of cocaine for breakfast.
Who the hell remember Rebecca, she is super pretty. Btw, love the way this guy is honest about he not knowing the musical theory of what he played and use, really appreciate that, he is led by his feelings.
At 11:00 if he has his Marshall on 11 and it's too loud he should get one of those Joe Bonamassa Plexi-glass amp panels, they are fantastic. At the end of the video her sound volume is very low. Good rig rundown anyway.
I swear I seen the other guitar player playing a Les Paul junior that looks just like that on their European tour? How could that be if he got it on his second album?
Dave doesn't get much credit in the guitar world, but August and Everything After is full of great riffs and catchy guitar parts/melodies and tasty simple leads that he wrote. He always had fantastic tone and it really pisses me off when bands hire extraneous members. I realize that Immy played on some of their albums, but now his inclusion simply buries Dave's parts in the mix. Dave shouldn't be the after thought, he's the FOUNDING member and guitarist of the band and deserves to be in the forefront with all his parts. Dan Vickrey was brought in as a lead guitarist, and he adds an appropriate amount of it. The addition of the 3rd guitar player is absolutely unnecessary, and you can hear Dave's frustration when he mentions having so many guitar players and how it's hard for him to strike through the mix. I hate to say it, but everything kinda went downhill for this band when Matt Malley left as bass player, Adam started talking his lyrics like he's at some beat poetry session and they inexplicably added Immy on guitar. So, here's to you Dave and simpler times! (P.S. you can hear Toad The Wet Sprocket warming up with "The Moment" halfway through the video, still the same 4 members and killing it even today! hint hint)
ianA FYI Immy has played on every single Counting Crows record, including August and Everything After.. so they've almost always had 3 guitarists, just not live.
I love the band but no very little about them. Who is the creative lead or behind setting the tone and catchiness on August and Everything After? I get it's collaborative but who is the main person that set that and drove it home? that beat poetry stuff is terrible. August and Everything After is one of the great debut albums and a truly great album period. My hunch, again knowing nothing, is that Adam is a smart, rich, talented, kid who really wanted to make something succesful. Then once he did he got indulgent and didn't make the sacrifices of listening to other people and working in the same way. Started telling himself it was solely his genius he got there. At that point he was famous enough there was no real way to argue it. Probablly he was right, to some extent. Either that or there was some super producer or mentor behind the scenes who disappeared. Could be wrong but my feeling is Tarrantino's movies went downhill both with the death of his editor and not as much influence of Weinstein. Anyway, if Duritz was forced to make a hit album again or really, really, wanted to he probably could find a way. That dog just ain't hungry in the same way anymore. Again, that's all just speculation. The album is so amazing that I'm drunk thinking about it.
@@johntallanger4036 it could be the producer T. Bone Burnett. He produced August but never did another record with them again. He is also credited as a guitar player on that first record. Perhaps he had a huge impact on that first record that they could never quite replicate themselves. He also produced Bringing Down the Horse by the Wallflowers which is another amazing record and arguably their best. Just a hunch. And personally I loved Counting Crows’ second record a ton too.
you are EXACTLY right. I like Immy, but around the time Matt left, the band became the Adam and Immy show. Dave Bryson is such a major part of their early success. Crows are still great but they could be even better if Dave was given a prominent role again. One positive thing ill say is that Jim is clearly the best drummer of the 3.
Is this woman Premier Guitar's answer to the loss of Rebecca Dirks? Haha (She looks like Dylan Ryder) I would much rather listen to her than John Bollhinger...
Sydney Greg sure is a Great Looking beautiful Girl a Next Door type Hottie. I liked the Interviews a lot . Good Job. I still miss Rebecca Derks, but Sydney is Very Promising and Beautiful .
Counting Crows is one of the greatest bands of the 90's and we're granted access to Dave's gear, yet everyone is more worried about the host. crazy...
More interviews with Sidney please! 👍👌
Oh man... I am in LOVE :-)
More interviews with her!
Billy Thomson long time friend and fellow Road Warrior will surely be missed!!!
Underrated rhythm player

Great interviews! Thanks.

You can tell he's a guy that loves what he does.
He certainly seems like a very anxious/neurotic individual, that's for sure!
But, then again....so did the big guy too. ;-)
@@revolutionday1 he's just more of a quiet/shy guy.
Lookin’ good Bryson! Miss ya!
A David Immergluck Rig Rundown please....
I like the new girl... good job pg keep her on the team.
I tried counting crows many years ago, and was unsuccessful. Some were taking off while others we're landing making the whole process difficult.
how have i never seen this ? that 56 lp special is spectacular , wonderful interview
jr
the "new girl" era. she's a fox
Who the hell remember Rebecca, she is super pretty. Btw, love the way this guy is honest about he not knowing the musical theory of what he played and use, really appreciate that, he is led by his feelings.
Cool gear and cool tech!
I've met Dave on several occasions - super nice guy.
that 62' 4 string jazz master is one of my favorite all-time RR guitars
Ohhhhh Sydney, Sydney, Sydney....
Nice rundown! Like the new presenter too, shes got a great as....I mean presenting style....
Why do people keep complaining about the switching on Jazzmasters? All you have to do is leave it alone and just use the lower toggle switch.
It's easy to hit those switches anyways. Accidents happen
the new girl goes to eleven!
Thank you :)

love her
The new host is beautiful!
RIP Billl Thompson
THAT IS NOT MY DEARLY BELOVED REBBECA DIRKS
nice hips
I don't give a shit about Counting Crows, but MAN is that girl great lookin'...
They were amazing in the 90s. Live shows especially.
That's a pretty incredible acoustic rig...
i like the new girl, she looks good although she seems to have no idea what he is talking about!
great idea with the jazzmaster and the new girl has a great smile...
I think we all agree that we miss Rebecca Dirks but this chick is thick in all the right places
Can you guys do Dan and Immy too!?
I swear I seen the other guitar player playing a Les Paul junior that looks just like that on their European tour? How could that be if he got it on his second album?
man whats that opening song, it rules! and she is gorgeous!
Angels of the silences.. Counting crows
11:11 Oh man, sounds like they're playing Toad The Wet Sprocket in the house. Aaaand it's 1994 again. In the best way.
WOW, he considers all his songs stupid... way to go!!!!
He was pretty nervous to start with wasn't he.good review.
Nicolas Rivera hope this wasn't a serious comment..

She´s cute right?? I´m in love again, Thanks PG!! :3

it's got 8000 switches. woow!
bring her back P G

Points for not talking over him, I guess... Steve Cook seems the obvious choice for these if they care about having a regular presenter.
Yep, new chick does a great job!
she's hot
Sydney Greg sure is a Great Looking beautiful Girl a Next Door type Hottie.
I liked the Interviews a lot .
Good Job.
I still miss Rebecca Derks, but Sydney is Very Promising and Beautiful .
why emply new interviewers what happened to rebecca
Smaller aperture please ugh
She looks lost 😂
Counting Crows, not Counting Crow's.
Nope, says Counting Crows'. As in "Crows's", the guitarist belonging to Counting Crows.
ChopaLopa Believe me, I know how to read. When this was first posted, it said Crow's. It was corrected after (and maybe because) I posted my comment.
papernicolas3 +1 Internet for you!
she's ok, but she's no Rebecca. Rebecca is the tops.
She's a lookalike of Rebecca... And pretty clueless 👽
rebecca is still irreplaceable.. rebecca has better knowledge, communication and interviewing skill. hope the new girl will get better overtime.
Can we talk about that beard, though?
bring her back P G
