I think this guy showed you exactly how NOT to do this job. These heads have threaded holes for long bolts or all-thread to screw in to use a puller to get this head loose and out. I hope some newby doesn’t take this as how it should be done.
Do I agree with the method? No.. But in this guys defense, there are specialized tools to aid in doing this job. That is a very expensive fiberglass RO vessel he is prying on with that monkey wrench, I have done hundreds of these filter changes. The end cap actually seals inside the tube away from all the potential damage.
Engineering, not Technician !!!. may work on paper but not in real life. Taking apart the feed pipe work looks like it had to be done in this case. Using a monkey wrench instead of pulling directly latterly on the end cap is a quick way to damaged the RO. Also pushing from the feed end to discharge end is always better even if you utilize the new RO Membranes to do so.

WRONG AND Bad APPROACH...YOU ARE DAMAGING THE PRESSURE VESSEL AND END PLATE.
