Lovely playing! We heard Cyril O'Donoghue on each of our three trips to Ireland, always at O'Connor's Pub in Doolin. A fine musical gentleman playing with a band of similar fellows!
Blackie ( with cool shades) did a brilliant set with Daoiri Farrell and Robbie Walsh last weekend at the Cambridge Folk Festival in front of me, me wife (from Kilmaley Co.Clare) and about 14,000 others! Brought the house down! Felt soooo proud to be an Irishman at it!
Thank you so much for posting this very unique and special piece of footage Robert. Those that were there are truly blessed to hear Davy, Blackie and Cyril playing together, (and one of my favourites as well the Rambling Pitchfork…I believe?). I saw Cyril, Blackie and Eoghan playing at a gig in Suffolk last night and as always they were truly bloody awesome! Good luck to you lads... God willing I will see you again in Doolin next year.
I bought a full set of uilleann pipes made by Johnny Bourke frrom the famous Crehan family who are related to Liam O'Flynn and seeing this just inspires me to work harder and practice harder:::))) Even though our Irish pub would have no clue as to what your playing:::)) Happy days
All I can say is wow! Love the wink when the pints were placed.
I have seen these three great musicians a couple of times in Doolin and they were superb.
Blackberry is an awesome musician, love his free , open style, really class 👏
