- Broadway superstar Lin-Manuel Miranda jokes that his close relationship with "Wicked" director Jon M. Chu should have helped him score a role in the films, but it wasn't meant to be. You can see Lin-Manuel Miranda right now on Broadway in, "All In: Comedy About Love," at the Hudson Theatre.

I wrote Lin a letter. He responded! It’s now one of my treasures ❤ Lin has inspired me to my core.
Same! We sent a $10 bill and he signed it and drew a goatie on it, and sent it back!
@@Nothingisreal86 does he still do this? what address is used?!!
@@Nothingisreal86A goatee?
@@berglettemom6045. You know, Hamilton…$10 bill, had a goatee (in the play, at least)…
Wow. That’s so nice.
This gentlemen is a gem , my daughter wrote a letter to him and he was kind enough to send a hand written note back to her . Priceless
I lost my daughter’s father who I loved dearly during the pandemic… his name was Alex. Hamilton revived me from my grief. I have so much love and admiration for this man. Thank you Lin Manuel ❤
So sorry for your loss; you have my deepest condolences.
Lin-Manuel Miranda saying, “Is it true that you were her friend?”, would have been no more distracting than Stephen Schwartz saying, “The Wizard will see you now!”.
Amongst non-theatre people, Stephen's cameo was not distracting since he doesn't make as many public appearances as LMM. I saw wicked with 9 others and not a single one knew who Stephen Schwartz was 😂
@@DeztheDJ88 true! In fact, among the musical goers I know who watched the Wicked movie, I was the only one who recognised Stephen Schwartz 😅 But they all definitely would've recognised Lin!
Lucky!
Gosh, he is soooo interesting! Bring him back please!
Now we need a Hamilton film adaptation with Jon M Chu directing and probably have Warner Bros to distribute the film and split it to part 1 & 2 like Wicked
I’ve pictured what Hamilton could look like as a hand-drawn animated film.
Love all things Lin-Manuel so very much
That would have been a fun cameo in Wicked.
This conversation should be 60 minutes long!!!
Lin's friends are very blessed.
@@cheska2024 so is his wife let’s be honest 😏
Always adorable, both of them!
So glad I got to see Hamilton on Broadway. Lin Manuel Miranda is so awesome ❤. Also love him in old House reruns!
What a delight this man is. I would have thought with all of his talent that he would be a touch "stuck up" and egotistical. Not a bit of it. What a great interview.
Love you Lin!!!
We need a revival of Hamilton to show the current administration how this country is supposed to work.
It's still running on Broadway and some other cities like Chicago and the national tour is still touring.
I love these two 🥰
Lmao I can just imagine him in a tattoo parlor with a little tattoo on his finger ow ow ow ow ow why are you pressing so hard ow ow ow ow
I cracked up when Stephen said that the initial ‘V’ looked like an arrow meaning ‘the wedding ring goes here’!🤣
@@doloresreynolds8145 lmaooo me too I actually saw the tattoo briefly in another random video and I even knew then that his wife’s name was Vanessa but that information slipped my mind so I was like why does he have a give in Roman numerals tattooed on his ring finger eventually it hit me but I just thought that was relevant lmao 🤣
Dear CBS, please stop cutting these into 4-5 min clips. It is annoying to have to reopen my phone, click the next video, during the ending…and if I don’t click the pop-up quick enough I have to rewind.
Jimmy Kimmel is not a better host. But, there is a reason his channel has 20 million subscribers, and this one is sitting at less than half that.
The abrupt cutoffs are demeaning to the guest. Just give us 10-15 minutes of the entire interview. Save the 5 minute bits for audience questions segments, or one-off bits.
I really like Colbert. But, I watch Seth Myers or Kimmel first just because of these ridiculous short clips that always end with an abrupt “sorry, we’ve got to take a quick break and we’ll be right back.” Believe me, even with our nation’s shortened attention span, your viewers can stay locked in to interesting guest for more than 4-5 minutes.
Surely I can’t be the only person bothered by this?
Yeahhhhhh good call by Jon Chu lol. That kind of a cameo that early on into the musical would have been incredibly distracting and a turn-off for audiences, and it's clear LMM agrees. Limiting the cameos to One Short Day was a much better decision.
A very creative man ❤
I like how he's even dressed like Hamilton here. I wonder if he did it subconsciously.
I Love Him Very Much he’s Vivo in the movie Vivo I Love His Musical i would like to be in his orchestra or composed a song Hamilton is my favorite Musical
@@hayfordfrempong6369 you know he actually wrote a bit for Vivo
And thank god for that 😂
5 seconds ago is crazy
Has he done the Colbert questionnaire?
Admit it, if Lin's cartoon voice delivered that line not 5 minutes into the movie, that would have immediately lost the audience and Wicked would not be in consideration for Best Picture.
He would’ve been a great Wizard.
More Likes For Stephen Colbert 👍
See I've been saying forever _Hamilton_ is the American _Iliad_
How can I get his email to wright him
Stephen Colbert, are you going to take a turn in that show? I think you’d be amazing (better than Jimmy Fallon)!
Hes delighfful
I love him, but I'm glad he's not in Wicked, I agree that would have been a distraction, and maybe would feel less genuine if they cast him for the sake of just being famous in musicals.
❤️❤️

And if the marriage fails, you can turn it into a cool Illuminati tattoo.
He’d be very hard to be married to
@@yvonneamlett395 good thing we don’t all look for the same things in our partners
Lin Manuel would have been amazing in Wicked. Jeff Goldblum was just awful as the Wizard. Any random person would have done better
He doesn’t need to be in everything, it is honestly a bit annoying
You kind of sound like the annoying one here.
@@wgooetrik no They just stated their opinion ( which is shared by a lot of people ).
That’s a lady name both tho
I love you Lin, but the wedding ring situation? A tattoo does not replace your wedding ring. PUT YOUR RING ON!!!!
You're not a part of that couple, it's not your place to decide that for them.
it's just a tradition that someone made up at some point in history, like neckties. Who cares
My dad doesn’t wear a wedding ring, they’ve been married 30 years. It’s really not a big deal to some people.
Who cares? My dad also didn't wear one for decades.
Oh, relax. Some people don’t like wearing jewelry, some have allergies. Some consider tattoos as more meaningful - or less. Some really love the symbolism of rings, other hate that tradition. Not every married couple wears rings, lots of jobs require you to take them off. Not every person that wears a ring on their ring finger is married.
i always thought manifestation was just about writing things down and hoping for the best. but after seeing real changes happen for a friend, i had to ask what they were doing differently. they sent me Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane, and it explained everything i was missing. it’s not about wishing, it’s about understanding energy on a deeper level. ever since applying what’s in the ebook, things have started moving in my favor.
Good he irritates me
Why click on the video?
Because you hate good energy?
@@tman3311 why do people hate this amazing kind and genius man for no damn reason
hated wicked...SC seemed bored or something
Who???
I hated Hamilton
Good for You! I am so happy!
Here’s a cookie
I'm sorry you were never loved!
@@tman3311 well congratufuckinglations you were born sideways or something and for the record no one gives a flying fuck that’s your own opinion no one cares buddy
i kept wondering why some people could just think about what they wanted and somehow get it. i tried affirmations, vision boards, all of it-but nothing seemed to stick. then i found Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane. this ebook explained why i was blocking my own results without even realizing it. the way it breaks down energy alignment makes so much sense. since reading it, my whole approach has changed.
one night i was scrolling, feeling stuck. life felt like it was passing me by, while others seemed to effortlessly attract success. then i kept seeing people mention this ebook, Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane. i didn’t expect much, but after reading it, something shifted. it wasn’t about wishful thinking-it showed me how to align my energy with what i actually wanted. two weeks in, things started falling into place in ways i never imagined.
