- Batman: Arkham Origins celebrates its sixth anniversay today! This is yet another multiplayer video featuring both Hunter, Hunted and Invisible Predator Online modes. The game became playable on Xbox One via backward compatibility in 2017. Stay tuned on The Arkham Channel for a possible new game announcement from WB Montreal this year.

To clarify: the multiplayer for Arkham Origins still works on all platforms except PC. Those matches were recorded over a year ago, however, that doesn't mean you can't play it right now. Happy anniversary to all Arkham Origins fans!

This multiplayer was very underrated. This was the only time I understood the fear of the Batman. One of my first matches I met this guy and we decided to buddy up. We were walking to the main area of the prison map when I heard something, I turn around and before my buddy could say what’s wrong Bats just swoops him up and drops him from a gargoyle! We both screamed.
I didn’t know Batman could be so scary.
That is the power of a Shinobi/Ninja. They thrive when chaos and disarray overwhelm the enemy. Their real strength does not lie in what they can do, but what people believe they could.

Anyone ever imagined what an Arkham Knight multiplayer would look like, considering we have medics, juggernauts, literal ninjas, and the idea of false commands from enemy bosses

The concept of this MP was brilliant, they could have done so much more if they put the work in. The foundations were there, it just needed more.
Yeah, but it wasn't needed seeing as it didn't do so well. And before you ask, yes I have played it before decided to quit playing it because of the tech issues but as I said it was not enough for fans to enjoy it seeing as it was not meant to be MP whether it was Small projects or not and I prefer Story content over Multiplayer. Don't get me wrong but Had WB/Splash Damage invested more content to expand in this multiplayer like more maps, more gangs, more weapons and so on, it would have lasted longer but nope this was just a rush job to make a quick buck without a care in the world and pure laziness. The only reason I can think of for this was that they wanted to cash in on the MP hype that's going around for other games like Call of Duty and it basically backfired on them.

@@ibz_pk7931 I thought the MP game itself was abandoned after it received so many bad reviews? 😕I doubt WB or in this case, Splash Damage would invest a failed MP product after it's first launch.

@@spider496 First off let's look at other games. I'm not going to compare the multiplayer of those games to the Arkham Origins multiplayer, just how they used it. When you play the campaign in Gears of War, for example, you take what you know and learned and do that in multiplayer. You shoot bad guys, you know how to reload, whatever. Same with Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, Battlefield, and other multiplayer games. You take the skills from the story mode you had and use it in multiplayer.
Arkham Origins does this with Batman or Robin [if you played Harley Quinn's Revenge from Arkham City] that's 2 characters out of 8. When you play as thugs, you have no idea what to do. Yes, it plays like Gears of War but let's pretend you've never played that. Focus on just your Batman game. We never learn how to play as a thug in the story so we basically have to learn how to play as one with multiplayer. The same thing can be said with Joker and Bane.
The story and multiplayer should be connected but it doesn't feel connected. I know they are made by different studios but that's not the way to do it.
Sure there are control schemes and videos helping but you are relearning an entirely new way to play instead of taking what you learned from the story and just do that. Here in this Batman MP, it just feels out of place.
A way to improve multiplayer is to take out playing as the thugs. The way how to do it is using the Gears of War Horde as an influence. You could pick who you want to play as in a class sort of like Gears of War Judgment. Yes, Judgment sucks and that should be the only thing you take from it so we don't have 4-6 people as Batman. You could play as Batman, Robin, Nightwing, Catwoman, Huntress (referenced in Arkham City), or Batgirl. Have waves of thugs try to take over a building you guys are protecting. Have like 50-100 waves and at every 10th wave, include a boss with more thugs like Bane, Croc, Grundy, Clayface and so on and so forth.
You take the skills you learned in the story and use them in this way for the multiplayer. Its also a lot more fun but as I said, you only do this with Batman or Robin but not as the thugs. It's one of the reasons why I think The MP was a big failure because you never play as a villain in the story itself only the good guys. Sure You can also play Deathstroke but that's only on the Challenge maps and that's about it.

This gamemode is sooooo unique cuz instead of a 2 faction gangfight we have a 3 FACTION gangfight with 2 villain gangs and the Hero squad noice.

@@MGrey-qb5xz Have you ever heard of the second Robin Jason Todd, he got killed, then brought back to life with some dumb magic stuff and then he really hated Batman, but in the online multiplayer, Robin dies almost all the time.
M.Grey basically saying that young batman made loads of mistakes and for Jason to be his greatest failure meant that batman cared about Jason a lot

That wouldve been great. Batman, Nightwing, Robin and Red Hood vs 12 goons split in 6 as opposing sides. If you get a high kill streak as a bad guy, you can play as Bane, Black Mask, Two Face and Harly Quin etc high streak in batmans crew, you get to drive the BatTank.

It'd be cool to have something like DCUO but Arkhamized (Combat, Stealth, Gadgets) With an open world map, plus 2 sides (probs heroes and villains)

People often forget how scary the “good guys” of fiction would be if they were actually the enemy.
Man I really miss playing this game. Even with lag issues I still had fun with the multiplayer and I genuinely enjoyed the missions and the story mode, was relaxing the morning after Christmas just playing this game and just having fun man. Hope to see this remastered someday!

Remember when i used to play this. I was about 6 ish and I remember being on edge waiting for the the joker symbol to cone out so then I can become joker. I remember that It would always be a race to get to the gate.

6 years?! Damn. This use to be my least favorite of the Arkham games but after revisiting it all these years latter I think it has probable the best story of the franchise.

What I didn't like about this game was the gameplay, I fekt it as a bad copy of City. It barely had anything new, and what was old was... Badly done. Half the times I died was because it didn't work as it should

I still remember to this day the excitement i had when i got the arkham collection on ps3 for my 13th B'day. Absolutely love Arkham Origins till this day

JHOSTIN TOLA it was. You're confusing it with return to arkham collection for next gen which only includes rocksteady games, arkham collection contained the previous generation games as a trilogy for ps3 with origins being on disc and the other 2 as downloadable games

Man, I still remember me buying this game in a fake store as a young teenager just because I wanted to play this MP, but couldn't because it wasn't the official steam one. My first experience with Arkham was this gamem and that's why I love it so much.
I loved MP on this game it was actually pretty fun and I kind of liked being the grunts because of the nail guns I remember I used to go crazy with those
I absolutely loved the multiplayer in this game, I wish it was still available. Will be sorely missed. Was the first game I ever figured out how to hack, would fly around to the vantage points and mess with Batman and Robin. Good times
man, I wish this was still available on PC, mostly because I was trying to get every achievement on all the 4 batman Arkham games and they made a ton of them for the multiplayer mode that are essentially unobtainable now.
I remember finding Robin so slow and loved when I got to play as Batman, the maps were brilliant and the gameplay was fun, especially as Joker. Missed opportunity for replayability with this multiplayer mode

Origins multiplayer is highly underrated. It was grounded and basic in a good way. Had a lot of good memories on this MP, I would love to see a polished comeback.

this was one of my all-time favorite multiplayer games, it was surprisingly well-made and pretty balanced. and tension like no other mp game for sure. does anyone still play this or try to? I havent in years since i could never find lobbies
Damn I really hope they bring back this multiplayer mode for the next game. It was actually pretty solid! All it needs is optimization because character movement was a bit jarring, and balancing. Other than that it was really refreshing.
Arkham online felt really fun you were in the perspective of Joker gang or bane gang and see just how Batman and robin are scary gives that Paranoia fuel, But their really might be a slight chance of this multiplayer returning maybe in the next teaser batman game?
