What an amazing owner of the park, they are the luckiest folks to be living there. Just ideal.
This place is a wonderful example of so many things:
1- Adaptive reuse, where properties are repurposed which minimizes construction waste.
2- Community - something people long for but often do not find in the crazy world we live in.
3- Living lightly upon the earth.
4- Aging in place - it appears that many of the residents are older adults and once the nest is empty a larger home becomes a burden to care for. A well designed smaller home can be a great thing for older adults.
Kudos to all involved in this project. It is something that can be pointed to when others try to establish tiny home communities elsewhere.

Beautiful. Best group living I've seen anywhere. The guy who owns it is just so calm and logical sounding - no hysteria, just tranquil common sense and no ego blowing his ideas as the best ever. I envy those who manage to live so close to the beach with what seems the closest to a perfect mix of private and group - and so many well thought out ideas re group. Tools. Activities. Growing plants and veggies. Dog exercise spaces. Spaces for being together. Library. Fantastic. If I could, I would!

what I like about this park is that the houses are not tightly stacked, but that there is also something of a piece of privacy.
Landscaping helps so much! In person, the hedging really makes each lot feel distinct and separate from the neighboring lots 👌😊

It is funny how against tiny homes some people - and municipalities- can be, when they don't understand that they really do breed a wonderful sense of community - in the best sense of the word. And they provide affordable ways to live. Thanks to the owner of Tiny Tranquility for persisting and bringing this vision to life!

I feel this is why more and more people are seeing the many benefits of tiny home living.

@@TinyHouseExpedition As with alot of countries we here in Australia have a housing crises so our local councils have changed laws to allow people to put additional tiny homes on their properties. Plus it's a more sustainable way for families to be able to have a home without a huge mortgage or high rents to burden them. Our next Federal elections will focus on the housing crises here I would say because many, many Australians know further needs to be done to alleviate the problem. There is even discussions about legislating rental pricing caps. We have compulsory voting here so the political party's situp and listen.
Tiny home villages are in their infancy here at the moment but many farmers are starting to open areas on their land for tiny home living. Both sides benefit.
That place looks like a tiny house heaven....I'd live there tomorrow if I wasn't living in England! They seem to have thought about everything, those extra spaces look amazing, bet there's not a lonely person there! Thanks for sharing

Oh my goodness! Thank you! I’m a sucker for tiny home communities and gleaning all the information I can about bringing them to life. I appreciate the owner taking time to share his story. This community looks absolutely amazing. 🎉
So happy to share! This is a great example of how different municipalities all what different things for legal approval process. They knew people would be long here year round, nothing against that in the local rules, but they wanted to make sure all the tiny houses are classified as RVs. But at the same time, they were skeptical about allowing THOWs and what the community would look like (this might get included in LTL #3) even though they might have allowed a regular seasonal RV park. But Josh stuck to his guns and really proved how wonderful tiny home communities can be!
Wow this is like a Tiny House Heaven!!! I really like the placing of the lots and the space between the houses !!! The owner is really kool ; love the way he has created a balance between buissness and community. Wonderful touches like the community greenhouse / lounge area & gym and naturally the giant dog parks !!! Everyone there seems genuinely connected and chill with each other !!! Hope you #tinyhouseexpedition do more tours at this place !!! The name of the park #tinytranqulity is very appropriate as well!!! 👏👏👏🏡🐾🐕🐾🌲🌊

The absolute perfect set-up and those lot sizes are huge compared to the other tiny house communities I’ve seen.
Truly spacious lots! In person the hedging really makes each feel distinct and separate from the neighboring lots 👌😊

@@CeeCee630 so folks don’t mind being so close but we do think more landscaping, like they’ve done at Tiny Tranquility, can really help make communities feel less like parking lots
I called them a year ago and is full with a waiting list. I would love to live there.

I don’t want a loft for me but my grandchildren would love it too. And even a net or a catwalk . And I really would love if my bedroom was on the lower level of the house and the bathroom too. And l want a claw foot tub and a shower too. And full size appliances too.

💯 agree! Before the community, the lot was sitting vacant and becoming run-down. Now about 50-60 people have an affordable and lovely place to live 😊

Although I'm surprised not to see any solar panels here - that seems to be a missed opportunity. It would be great to hear a bit more on sustainability at this project 😊

Brilliant. Love the location and space for homes. Tiny home and eco communities are a growing trend. For me a mix of both eco and tiny would offer a variety of eco friendly living spaces and large shared food gardens for a cooperative self sustaining community. The eco aspect would help keep cost of living affordable. Cooler climates in other countries can and do use green houses. 🌎

Very nice concept. I would have a tiny house built that would be certified for both RV and Home. Good to have options.

I am hoping to find a spot for my 2 young daughters and myself where they can learn to live and live to learn together. I will be bringing a fixer upper tiny home in the making so we can build it together within a community where mentors may step forward to help where we struggle , and with community minded neighbors all involved with community projects and shared spaces.

Living 600 some odd feet from the beach is nice no matter what they live in, but I like this community that they have built. I have seen RV parks with a room to sit and watch TV in, but this one is better as they co-joined the washer & dryer room with the group sitting space.
Those that live there could also have a community yard sale day, or one day a month that they all sell their artwork, crafts, etc., that is advertised... After a while it would catch on in the community that there was a mini craft fair there monthly. Those seem to work out for trailer parks.
Tiny houses have a different reputation than trailer parks for some reason, probably all of these videos. Trailer parks are still stigmatized as the lower social class, negative stereotypes of people with little to no education, which were never usually the case. What I see of both tiny houses and trailers is that it is a good home for those that are not married, or young married couples that have not had children, or only 1 child.
